Part 3 will be the first part of my "specific categories" part. Here I hand out some special mentions to games that truly deserves it for different reasons. There were alot of superb individual parts of games that needs to be mentioned whether or not they made it to the Top 10 of the year (see previous 2 parts). So without further delay...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BEST ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK ( OST that´s NOT licensed songs )
BIONIC COMMANDO REARMED
Simon Viklund over at Grin created pure magic when he took the old Bionic Commando NES soundtrack and totally remixed it for a new generation. The soundtrack works both as an awesome nostalgia trip AND as a standalone new electronic/techno CD. This soundtrack is worth buying even if you are not even remotely into old videogames but into electronic music. THATS how good this soundtrack is. I bought it the day it came out on iTunes. Still listening to it...
Here´s a taste.

BC: ReArmed

BC: ReArmed

Special Mentions:
Command & Conquer - Red Alert 3

Devil May Cry 4
Aquaria

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BEST LICENSED SOUNDTRACK ( OST that´s ONLY licensed songs )
BURNOUT PARADISE
Criterion has always had a very keen sense for what songs to license for their games. They know exacly what music that fits their Carsmashing action. The soundtrack in Paradise is amazing. Not only are there songs from every previous BO title in there but theres a HUGE list of top notch licensed songs in various, very fitting, genres. Theres awesome punkrock songs, heavy metal songs and electronic beats that just makes it a blast to play the game. The music does alot for the "feeling" of Burnout.
Here´s a taste.

Special Mentions:
WipeOut HD
Rock Band
Grand Theft Auto 4

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BEST FEMALE VOICE ACTING ( Best performance by Female in a game )
DEBI MAE WEST AS MERYL, METAL GEAR SOLID 4
Debi Mae has always been an excellent voice actress in the Metal gear franshise. From the beginning she has put a voice to Meryl that will forever keep that character in the heads of Metal Gear fans. In MGS 4 she does it again, and better than ever before.
Here´s an example
Meryl, MGS 4

BEST MALE VOICE ACTING ( Best performance by Male in a game )
DAVID HAYTER AS SNAKE, METAL GEAR SOLID 4
Metal Gear?! David puts a twist on his infamous Solid Snake voice and makes it feel old, tired and rugged like never before. David Hayter will go down in history as one of the best videogame voice actors out there and there is no reason to qeustion that after hearing his performance in MGS 4.
