i want to watch something truely horrible. complete garbage, totally without merit. what do you guys reccomend? preferably something at least 5 years old so you don't all say avatar. (disclaimer: just to clarify i thought avatar was an enjoyable movie but there seems to be tonnes of hate online so i thought i'd just cut it off right there to stop the thread from potentially drifting. thank you!)
nah, you can't count John Waters movies - espeically ones with Divine. Like Troma films they are just so bizarre and out there that they exist beyond regular movies that think they are good but really just suck balls.
@Impossibilium: Yeah, I agree with you that John Waters films are obviously trying to stretch the limits. I'm just saying that Pink Flamingos is the one I think is "totally without merit", to quote the OP's request.
But you're right. I'll put my thinking cap on for films that are trying not to be trash and fail at not being trash.
Case in point: I sat through all of Thunderbirds on the weekend. Yeah, I know it's not a completely serious film, but man that thing was just flaccid as hell. What was Sir Ben thinking? (see also: that Uwe Boll film he did)
Oh, and I also watched Brotherhood of Blood on the weekend. Again, I know it's (very) low budget and all, but that film takes itself a tad too seriously. And it also seems to lift a lot of plotting from a better-known, less-vampirey thriller starring Kevin Spacey and Gabriel Byrne.
Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959) was described as the worst movie ever made in the 80's. It is truly awful! The film "Ed Wood" was made about the director of this sham of a film. Plan 9 starred Bella Lugosi (the original werewolf), who died suddenly during the filming. So another actor stood in, but had to hide his face in his cape for the rest of the movie!

The Room and Troll 2 are both fucking awesome. Seriously, fucking awesome. I thought this was a thread about terrible movies?
Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 is a horrible movie. I actually sat through the whole thing though. I don't know what that says about the movie but I'm more concerned about what it says about me as a person.
I actually had a conversation with a friend of mine just last night about the worst movies that we had seen. I couldn't come to a conclusion, but I did remember that I actually turned off "It's Pat" because it was so horrible. I just watched it because Dave Foley was in it and Dave Foley couldn't even save that shit.
The Starfighters, an airforce during peacetime movie full of hot, sexy, boring as hell mid air refueling scenes. Not too hard to find the MST3K episode of it.

Southland Tales. I stopped watching after this scene, which was at about its halfway point in the movie.
The stuff that happens before that made absolutely no sense whatsoever and I had no desire to see the rest of this flick afterwards. Approach with caution.
@JJWeatherman: Oh my god! It's like some godawful Christopher Walken imitation done by a barely literate german. Where can I get this incredible movie!
The Room is hilarious but the worst film I've ever seen is Starship Troopers 2. Make sure you've watched the first one to see where they reuse the special effects sequences in the second one. It is genuine trash with no redeeming qualities, its not even "funny bad".
hmmm in the name of the king i saw in theatre... it was entertainingly bad. reasonable actor list considering. guy that said slither sucked sucks, it was very campy and entertaining.
first movie that came to mind though one i enjoy an old jcvd movie knock off with rob fucking shneider classic.
