New Star Wars Battlefront 3 footage from free radical build

yesterday a guy on youtube named borman18 posted a video of gameplay from star wars battlefront 3 which he claimed to be a march 2008 build of the game that he had gotten from former employees of free radical and he will be uploading more game play of it soon and maybe different level. excuse the sketchiness since this is about a pre alpha build of the game and is older than the gameplay trailer that leaked a couple of years ago. what are your guys thoughts?

WHy did they cancel this, I would play the shit out of Battlefront 3.

That's probably why he released it. This version of the game is long dead. It gives no indication of what the new Battlefront 3 will look like.

Not a fan of the new third person perspective going on there.

I'm just basing this on rumor formed from their hiring binge last fall, but I'm hoping with all of my might that it's true Lucasarts is continuing work on Battlefield 3 (the rumors are that or Republic Commando 2) and it'll be unveiled at E3. Maybe they're developing it in-house with the Unreal 3 engine they licensed last April?

It's a shame we don't get great Star Wars games like this, but we get trash like The Old Republic and Han Solo dancing.

I wouldn't call SWTOR trash because I haven't played it yet, but I have been playing Battlefront II, Rogue Squandron II, and the first KOTOR. There's a great history of Star Wars games to fill that void.

Battlefront was fun but it was just a really cheap knock off of Battlefield and not as good.

Search your feelings you know this to be true.

I watched it over at PC Gamer much earlier today and it didn't really do anything for me. It just looked like one of the old games. I want a new one as much as the next guy, but I want them to take it to the next level and not just the same game as before with better graphics.

For sure. But notice how none of those games are that recent, I just meant to say that nearly all modern Star Wars games suck.

If they make a new battle front 3 i want them to keep the space combat like they had it in battle front 2

I think the quality of Star Wars games have gone down because there was so much turnover at Lucasarts. Yeah, nearly all modern SW games suck, but I enjoyed the first The Force Unleased.

TFU 2 stunk, but I have a feeling they've learned from publishing a game that had a lot of hype but bad reviews. I really think the next wave of Star Wars games will be good.

Flying up to space sounds fucking amazing, but in practice just looks silly and slow.
