Next big thing

I can't wait for the next big title. Not a new COD or Halo or Prince of Persia.. but some originality again. These games will be milked just like their predecessors but we need something new again. I'm tired of drowning in the flood of poor retools and even weaker promises of a great return to the old school. Make a good game and I'll play it. Hell, make a shitty game and i'll probably still play it, just for gigs. However, if you put something in my console that moves me to play it and not stop playing it, not with gimmicky achievements, but with solid gameplay and story line... I'll be ENTERTAINED. What a funny concept.

I think it's funny that you chose RD: Redemption as your number one, mainly because it's a sequel, which is exactly what i was commenting against. Did you ever play RD: Revolver for the Xbox? I absolutely loved that game, and it was at that time what I'm looking for now. I've been anticipating the other games, tryin' to see how they're gonna go, but many of them are just retooled gameplay, even though Transformers seems to be a very promising. I'm certainly not ruling them out as good games, or even playable ones, I just hope one can be THAT game... my golden ticket, if you will...
