The US men's relay was insane. I got chills even watching it the second time through. So far I think the olympics have been amazing. I'm really looking forward to the Redeem Team and seeing how US soccer does against the powerhouses. I think it'll be incredibly tough for Phelps to do 8, but who knows?
Either way, they're incredibly uniting and emotional and everybody should be watching them.

yeah dude...that last leg..especially the last 50meters was fucking insane...kinda wish i was in the Olympics haha
As far as Phelps goes, it's getting a little ridiculous. He past his hardest obstacle which was the team relay. The US succeeded. Now it's just a matter of Phelps' applying himself for the rest of it.
Personal prediction here: He's gonna do it. Hell, he already matched the overall lifetime gold medal record of 9. He might very well beat the single games' record. We'll see in a few days.
Honestly at this point (with potential things to come) I place the man up there with Lance Armstrong. Laugh at me now, but if what he's attempting to do proves true, he'll be on that list of greatest athletes of all time thusly and justifiably (if not surpassingly).
My prediction might render false, but if it doesn't, we've history in the making.
BTW, The Opening Ceremonies were unheard of. I've seen nothing like it in my life...ever.
