I just finished most of my college general education and I still have no clue as to what I want to do. Do I just take random classes and see what interests me? I have no idea where to go from here. I tried looking at lists of possible majors, speaking with my counselor, and going to job fairs but, ultimately, I'm left scratching my head with apathetic indifference from what I'm seeing in front of me. Do I just have to take a leap of faith by taking classes that may or may not interest me or is there a better way of going about this without committing to such a large time and financial sink?

It's pretty simple really: What stuff do you like?
Take that list, and circle the most practical thing on it. Then do that.
I've never understood people who don't know what they want to do with their lives. It's all about knowing what interests you and what you would enjoy doing the rest of your life (or at least put up with for monetary gain). Either you're not thinking about it hard enough or in the right ways or you're the most boring person in the world because you have no interests. I'm willing to bet it's the former.

I had this problem for a long time. It's a perfectly legitimate question that requires a very tough leap of faith if you aren't already passionate about something when you go into college. I think that, at this point, I'm going to be an English major but I still have questions about it because fuck, some of that shit is boring as hell. Questions like that are perfectly fine.
However, OP, you need to know some of your own interests. Cut out some things that you don't want. Do you enjoy Biology? No? Don't even think about it. Like philosophy? Then look into it. Want to work on computers? See if computer science interests you. What subjects do you lean towards?
Think about the things you enjoy doing, and the things you find interesting, and see what matches up.
Alternatively, you can always get a general degree, though it'd be better to get something focused of course.
Or, just put your college on hold for a while and work or travel. Sometimes you need to do some growing up, be it physically, mentally, or spiritually, before you realize what it is you want to do. Just don't get lazy or decide that whatever you're doing with your life is good enough. If you have the aptitude and means to get a degree, you shouldn't squander that.
