I'll be having my first pop-tarts soon. A shit-ton of pop-tarts.
Do you like pop-tarts? Are they good breakfast food?
I've never understood the appeal of Pop-Tarts. Toasted or not, they are just a dry ass lump of sugar and beyond crappy "pastry". I second toaster strudel as being a far better option.
And chocolate is not a breakfast food. As a fat dude, even that grosses me out.
I like them however they can be really sickly, I tend to get fed up of any breakfast in ~1week. I wouldn't have Pop Tarts as breakfast unless I was on some gaming-binge (i.e WoW expansion launch).
Pop Tarts are good every once in a blue moon. Hell, I just bought my first (family) pack of Cookies & Cream Pop Tarts in years this past weekend. They're horrible for you, but delish. I'm also way too lazy to toast them, so i just eat them out of the pack. Still pretty damn good in my opinion.
As a fanatical supporter of Pop-Tarts and all Kellogg's products (my dad has been an engineer there for about 30 years), I can't help but agree with all who recommended some delicious flavors.
I can't help but become disgusted by those who recommend "Toaster's Strudel" as a viable alternative. If I wanted to eat semen for breakfast, I'd have to learn to swallow, and THEN I'd have to switch from Pop-Tarts: two things which just aren't happening.
I can get down on some pop-tarts, but I hate the non-fruity varieties. Not too much preference as to frosted or unfrosted, but on the whole I've generally moved over to Toaster Strudel. I'll still get down on a pop-tart tho, especially if it's cherry.
On a sidenote... when you talk about a PB & J sandwhich, you are talking about a peanut butter & GRAPE jelly sandwich? Because there is no such thing as grape jelly here in Switzerland. Got me a glass of that stuff too with my order of pop-tarts. Now hows grape jelly tasting? Like grape soda? Or more natural?
I really just wanted to try out some strawberry twizzlers, but that e-shop I ordered from had a 50$ minimum order, so I just had to order some other stuff I am curious about. You Americans and your convenient food marvels. Kinda jealous of all your junk food.
Just got my crate of American Convenient Food via the local postal service. Ate my first frosted cherry pop tart for dessert after diner. It's pretty good. It's a lot doughier than I thought. Like there's a little raw dough left in the pop tart. Is that normal or do I have to toast them longer?
Oh - the fucking Strawberry Twizzlers are highly addictive. Didn't think much of them at first, but then I just wasn't able to stop going for another one. Might just be me kicking my smoking habit though.
Pop-tarts are the food of the gods. Every morning during high school I ate pop-tarts untoasted because I was to lazy to toast them or make anything else. Dip them regardless of the flavor into milk...ecstasy.
