Posts, Threads, or Topics?

I guess posts since it does say it by our names.

Here, I call them posts.

A response (or comment) in a topic is a post for me, and well, I think I already gave away what I think the subject of a discussion should be called -- a topic. Sometimes I make the occasional slip-up when it comes to topic/thread, but that usually has to do with the latter of the two sounding more fluid.

I'm used to calling them threads, but apparently Giant Bomb refers to them as topics.

I call what I'm typing right now a post and what I'm posting in a thread.

I usually call them all of the choices, but I call them posts most of the time

I don't understand this thread...
Posts are what I like the most and my opinions/facts.
Threads are the conversations about the topic.
Topics are the subject and name of the thread.

When I'm talking about them, the terms Thread & Topic are interchangeable, but post generally reffers to a post within a thread/topic, not the thread/topic itself.

They all aren't the same thing it's not like calling something a Dresser or a wardrobe...
 
Topics are the title of a thread, posts are replies to the threads, and you post threads in Forums...

Threads.

A post is an actual message within a thread.

A thread consists of a topic that is discussed using posts.
