" Foolish... Guess people who want to get their easy fix will just have to continue to go out, get drunk, and drive home! "
Prop 19 FAILED! Thoughts?
"i don't care if people get thrown in jail and have their lives ruined, as long as my weed is still cheap and good."
typical whitey behavior
Did anyone really expect this bill to pass? I mean a bill that decriminalized marijauna would be hard enough to pass as it is, but one that legalizes? Still, the results were closer than I expected (it failed by 8% or so)
" I live in Canada and I would never want IT legalized....it would become to expensive. Keep it underground and cheaper I say. I support the plant and the culture. "Prohibition is what keeps prices high and profits in the hands of those who are willing to risk their freedom.
if legalization of weed doesn't get people off their ass to vote then i don't know what would. But seriously they were either too messed up from the weekend, forgot to register in time, forgot it was election day or that Prop 19 was on the ballot.
Good! Fuck the stoners.
I would support them if they weren't all two faced retards. If they would just come out and say "we should legalize it because it's something I enjoy using" instead of "HERP DERP WE WILL MAKE LIKE SO MUCH MONEY FROM TAXING IT AND ITS LIKE MEDICINE IF YOU GET SICK OR SOMETHING."
Really really really really really really really reallllly not surprised at all. I absolutely see the positive side to Prop 19 but the trouble is you're just not going to get enough voters to agree. It's far too taboo an issue still. There are some drawbacks to it, in my opinion, but if I lived in California I think I would have voted in favor of it. It would have been tough though.
" I don't smoke the stuff, so it doesn't effect me, but I still keep my "just legalize everything" policy. "This.
I'm not concerned. Let's see, I don't smoke pot. Never will. No good comes out of it. I don't see why other people do. Alcohol might be worse than pot, but does that mean pot is good? No, it doesn't. It's a great way to ruin your life from what I've heard.

"I don't smoke pot either, yet I supported the proposition because getting arrested because of pot of all things is pretty stupid.
And alcohol is ridiculously worse than pot, shouldn't you be for making it illegal?
not surprised. this world is full of too many scumbags who think marijuana is the devil.
people who still wanna smoke will smoke. *shrugs*.

No, it doesn't. It's a great way to ruin your life from what I've heard. "Explain to me exactly how it ruins lives. This guy smokes out every day and he has a best picture Oscar under his belt. This guy smokes quite regularly and is currently one of the biggest names in Hollywood. John Fuckin McClane smokes pot. This guy made a few movies about New Jersey and is a self-proclaimed wake and baker. Not too many people have heard of this guy, but he has admitted to smoking pot.
Yeah, I think you're right. Pot ruins lives. Especially those poor bastards ^^^^
Lol I'm sure the drug dealers all voted against it. It ruins their insane mark-ups and subsequent profit.
Also, I'm sure the negative views on potheads didn't help. Those guys are fucking losers whose whole identity is based around the fact that they smoke pot. Maybe if those idiots got less exposure and normal people who socially smoke weed like most people socially drink got more than the bias would be less. Whatever, I don't even smoke pot, but I still think it's a good idea to legalize it.
doesn't stop my neighbor from smoking weed on his porch with his shirt off in front of his kids, with his broken ass door he will never fix and that makes the whole complex look like shit when family comes over....
Switzerland put legalization of THC to the ballot twice. Both times it failed. Once, abandoning all 'prohibition', including the hard stuff, such as heroin, was on vote. Of course that failed too. To me, all forms of 'substance prohibition' are fashism. It's the childish notion of wanting to wish away tough choices and pretend they don't exist. Why do doped athletes win? Because drugs are good. They make us better than we are without them. Running on 'super blood'. Improving our biochemistry.
Of course, some drugs are pure poison with no further purpose than to hook you on a neverending cycle of crave and relief. Like smoking and that's legal. It's comparable to taking a shit. It's a shitty job, but everyone's got to do it and if you really need to take a shit, the relief is the best thing in the world. Only with drugs, we have choice.
Anyways, prohibition is irresponsible foolery. Instead of taking responsibility over the weak and afflicted, handing it over to criminals. You wouldn't believe how much 'wrong' a junkie is willing to do to get his fix. Is it that hard to make a junkie do right? No, it's not. Every victim of drugs and the war on drugs is a victim of fashist ignorant childern in power all over the globe. They aren't worthy leaders obviously. No wisdom, only opinion. Dumb fuckers.
No wonder it didn't pass. That's embarrassing. People are just giving the media more reason to play their "HAHA STUPID LAZY STONERS" card. Maybe they're right.
I wonder how much the growers dumped in to fighting it becoming legal...they REALLY didn't want it to be. Something about millions in untaxed income..
I am crying for the pot heads out there right now.
No I am, crying, it's so sad.. I really really care...
they smeared the proposition with ads saying that it legalizes driving while high and going to work/out in public high. supposedly, pro-19 groups had over $2 million, but you wouldn't know it with the piss poor job they did advocating their cause.
You're right, prohibition is really stopping people using drugs..." @TooWalrus said:
