So, i'm sure the soccer fans out there already know. The great maestro is left out of the squad. As a huge AC Milan fan I have noticed the resurgence of this genius. He is of course, not the man he was at barcelona, but he is much better than he has been in the past few years. As a brasil fan, I'm pretty disappointed with Dunga's choice. He chose Robinho has his left wing. I honestly don't know enough about Robinho to make a judgement, but hes not playing in a competitively league now. I'm a big ronaldinho fan and he will surely be missed this summer.

your thoughts?

I'm more suprised Alex doesn't have a spot, he's a top quality centre back.

It's about time Brazil ditched all the old boys and let the new young talent in. I reckon they will slaughter at this world cup.

Honestly I would have put him in. It's a tough choice, it's similar to Maradonna leaving out Cambiasso it's time to let the old boys go.

Ronaldinho is old. There are plenty other great Brazilian players to substitute them.

I'm more surprised by Maradona, in not choosing Cambiasso and Zanetti for the national squad. The two of them with Walter Samuel could be determinant for a great tournament, like they are in Inter Milan.

They have, at least, 23 better players than him and I'm not surprised at all by his exclusion.

It's the end of an era.  It's a shame how infrequent World Cups are.  Most 'superstars' only get to appear in 2-4 World Cups before their careers elapse.

It's amazing how time flies.  I remember quite vividly when Ronaldinho was being paraded as the best in the world.

agreed. It really does suck. Thats why this is probably going to be Messi's best shot, and Maradona fucked him over with his squad. I will be sad to see dinho left out. I will always hold the memories of him with ronaldo. Good days. Like Jordan and Pippin

The Brazil team this year is the weakest in many years. I don't see them going very far. Ronaldinho has had a good season, would have loved to see him in the Brazil jersey once more.

Amen.

I feel like many squads are weak this year. Argentina, Italy, France. Despite the France squad being quite strong, they really struggled. The strongest squad I think is Spain, but they do have vital injuries.
