I've been invited by my friend to go the zoo. I could go just to hang out with friends and catch up, but I'd have to pay for the zoo admission, the bus fare there and back and any food/drinks I buy while I'm there.
I've been to zoos, aquariums and such. Something about watching other animals lazing around isn't all that interesting. Now that I think about it, it is sort of creepy and voyeuristic, even though sometimes it is for the sake of scientific research.
Somehow, I just can't make myself want to go to the zoo and I don't see myself having a good time at the zoo no matter what, but I also want to see this friend again. So I need some quick reasons why I should/shouldn't go to sway me into a decision.
should I go to the zoo?
If it's going to be hot out, don't go. There's nothing worse than walking around a zoo on a hot day. It's the worst thing.
Other then that, zoos are pretty cool.

Zoos aren't made to observe the animals that are in the tanks and cages.
If you're good enough friends with the guy, then you'll be able to have fun wherever you are. Go to the zoo, have some fun. Look at the lions.
You're crazy, going to the zoo is awesome. Even on a hot day, albeit the animals are generally less interesting on hot days as they'll just chill out and not do much. I've always find going to the zoo pretty relaxing, screaming kids aside. And I always make an effort to go at least once a year to one.
Also, do it. Sometimes you have to make an effort for your friends.
I love going to the zoo, I cannot stand the Gorilla's though, they're put in a separate room because the odor is so strong, which it is, as soon as you open that door to try and go in, its...bad
Just dont be that retard that tries to get close and take pictures and end up falling in an exhibit or getting caught and mauled by something. Like in the news...all the time....lol
@AURON570: You should go. First of all, animals are awesome. Secondly, sometimes you just have to force yourself to do things. Have you seen the movie Yes Man? When you say "Yes" and force yourself to do things that you might not be in the mood to the do, you open yourself up to opportunities that your otherwise could have missed.

Whatever man. There's nothing better than the smell of a sweaty giraffe.
I prefer stinky elephant noses to be honest. Last April I vacationed to Hawaii and down the street from my hotel was a pretty cool zoo. I was just able to walk down there and pay the $15 for an afternoon there and got to see some interesting animals I have never been close to before, I had fun. Go and be with your friend.
depends on the zoo. I live close enough to go to the San Diego zoo, which is the bees knees.
On the other hand, I find many smaller zoos to be poorly funded and thoroughly depressing for me and the animals. I only want to support a zoo who I feel will actually make the lives of endangered animals a little better... not worse.
Profit.Steal all of your neighbours pets and open a zoo in your back yard. Invite friend. ????? You know where this leads.
Ah shit someone beat me to it.
If you want to stand about watching lazy things lounge around scratch themselves all day you can just come over and stand outside my window, admission is only a six pack of beer, 12 pack for a family pass.
