And it is messed up, i think I'm on the verge of seeing things in slow-motion. My sleeping rhythm got f***ed up the past several days, and today I'm trying to endure until 8-9 PM, which will, in Serbia, be in about 7 hours, so it will be 31 hours with no sleep. My brain is functioning at the level of a plankton, but you know what, its all worth it, because when you're tired as **** and you go to sleep, it's like you died and went to heaven, a moment of true bliss, i don't know maybe its because I'm lazy but its one of the best feelings in the world. I should add that my 31-32 hour sleep deprivation cycle can't even be measured to Randy Gardner's achievement of staying awake for 260 hours (I f*** you not, that guy is insane) . Anyway I guess i wrote this as something to keep me occupied, and to ask. What's the longest time you went with no sleep?
So, i haven't slept in the past 24 hours.
Something like 52 hours.
Before I went to bed last night I had actually been up for about 38 hours, but that was partly because I had to travel to check out my new apartment. My sleep schedule gets fucked during the summer.
I was up for a little over three days, I think. At first I was just playing games and stayed up for like 30 something hours. I figured it would be a neat challenge to see if I could make it 48 hours. Once I did that I decided to just keep on going for as long as physically possible. Once you get over that 60 hours mark things start getting just weird. It is kind of like being on drugs. The closer you get to 72 hours, the closer you get to being a crazy person.
Man I hate thinking back on my Warcrack days knowing I spent literally days playing it, Red Bulled out of my mind. The guild I was in, in high school once dueled every person entering or leaving Orgimar for nine hours, it was actually pretty fun and became something of a server event that ended with a failed alliance raid on Org. The longest I ever stayed up was a little over 3 days cleaning an apartment, aided heavily by adderall and the fear of losing a large portion of a $2,000 deposit. But hey at least I learned how to use a floor buffer.
Around 40 hours, and I never want to do it again. Constantly seeing shit move that isn't really there set my paranoia on edge.
Around 48 hours. It was the day KotOR II got released, so i played straight through both, back to back! :)
2.5-3 days. As long as I can keep myself busy doing something I don't even get tired until the very end. The worst is trying to stay up when I'm just doing something lazy like playing a game or watching a movie.
Around 26 hours is my best guess for me. After 24 things get fuzzy.
I used to work nights 11pm to 7am, and had trouble sleeping during the day so I got used to not sleeping much.
Eventually I'd randomly pass out standing up at work, and I'd wake when my knees buckled.
After 4 years of that I was able to fall asleep standing while holding things, without falling over or dropping what I'm holding.
Once I actually kept working in my sleep and made a mess.
It was scary sometimes, when I'd wake up I'd forget where I was, and my muscles would cramp and spasm from holding so still.
I was up for 24 hours, took a half hour nap, then I was up another 14 hours or so. It was a Disneyland trip and then a camping trip directly afterwards that kept me up.

@VegsenBut dude, how fun was that? That underwater zone was packed with hundreds of people all fuckin' stoked to be getting some awesome content- especially after all that boring Lich King stuff... good timesAround 60 hours, damn Cataclysm release...
Ya stoked for new content. Until your realized all the hardwork for hear is gone *Inevitable* and over half the server is on and in the same small zone as you which made trying to grind out to 85 first not fun.. I think i stayed up a good32 hours playing wow and took like a 3hour nap until cata released. Then played it for another 30+ hours before i passed out and everyone had been given *First* on each thing i was trying to get :( I was a good2 levels on fishing and cooking and only 4 quests on hunter to hit. T-T
During a 1 year period while studying, I was moonlighting at a web cafe. They had this deal that people could pay a very low fee, and then play from 11pm to 7am - i often took these shift because they paid well.
So at least 1-2 times a week, I was awake for a good 48 hours with school and work - was able to nap a few minutes here and there, but the cafe was quite big, and there was always some due which broke something - still to this day i am amazed that i managed quite well on my grades.
Guess my thanks go to Bawls and tons of coffee.
I don't think I can stay up for more than a day or so. Eventually I will become way too tired soon after hitting the 24-hour mark.

Staying awake makes you get a head in terms of leveling anyway so when I hit 85 there weren't many players around in my area.
Leveling my alt afterwards made me discover the horror that was that underwater zone. Good thing I stayed away from it when leveling my main character.
Literally the worst experience of my life.
