Montreal or Calgary are the two better places to visit. Vancouver is also pretty good. I'd avoid Toronto. Yes it has plenty to do and yes it's close to the lakes and yes it's not that far from Ottawa and yes you can get all touristy, but the city itself... kind of shitty.
I'd say Montreal or Vancouver, and of those two Montreal. Montreal is always a pretty good time. I think. Maybe. I can't remember a whole hell of a lot.
