And here we are, 1 year later . . .
Wow, talk about change. Gone are the trappings of yearning for every new game coming out on the shelves (granted, theres not much coming out this year, but humor me) to be played for hours on end. No more are the constant pangings for a controller to be in my hands every waking moment.No, I wasn't addicted to games or anything. Just a different perspective.
Games to me nowadays are a form of escape. No more working college student going about normal working college student daily rites, instead I'm a dashing adventurer with a wicked half-tuck voiced none other than Nolan North. I'm a warrior seeking only to vanquish those foolish enough to dare cross my path. I'm a general commanding my forces with a confidant trepidation, knowing full well the cost of each loss on the battlefield.
The past year has brought some change, that much is true.
Sorry for bringing up an old topic, making you read idyllic ramblings of a bored youth.
Now give me cake you fools. More of it.

On Sunday, the 25th. A year older, big deal and all, woopie doo, but the worst part about my birthday . . .
I must refrain from buying pretty much anything for myself a month before. So I have to hold out on walking into Target and picking up copies of Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2, Borderlands, etc. It's pretty much horrible, because every year at this time, game upon game starts to come out, and typically of some quality. But patience does pay off. School is in full swing, midterms are almost over, and after that, it's a slight breath before the cycle begins again. Hooray!
BTW, National Geographic came in today . . . article showing the mummification of the pets of the Pharaohs . . . outstanding. You can see the nose tissue of baboons and dogs. You almost expect them to shake the dust off and go about their business. Those guys really knew what they were doing.
