So UFC champ Brock Lesnar is out for the rest of the year

News came out a couple days ago that Brock's condition continues to worsen and that he will sit out the remainder of 2010.  
 
This raises a question about the scheduled Interim Heavyweight bout between Shane Carwin and Frank Mir to be held at UFC 111 (I think). One year out most certainly gives Dana White reason to strip Brock of his belt (as much as it pains me to say it), so do you think this fight will be changed to a fight for the undisputed heavyweight title? 
 
On the good side, Brock's trainers say that he WILL fight again. However that could just be some bad PR.

The whole year?  Damn that is a long time.  Wasn't it Mono?  That seems extreme but I guess it can happen and getting into fighting shape after something like that probably does take a real long time.

Yes Brock, should be stripped of the belt, but he should also be given a title shot as soon as he is ready to come back.

Yes and no. It started as some sort of intestinal tract infection that had been going on for a long time that weakened his immune system and then he contracted mono. "

Jeez, we're only 11 days into the new year.

dang that sucks for brock. maybe he should be removed of his belt as he can't fight. he is a pretty good fighter though.   he has stupid tattoos. i don't like the sword one. maybe he should gotten something better like smaller.

Yeh he should be stripped of it if he is out for a year; hope to see him back fighting again
