anyone knows what the crap that thing is? a lot of girls are obsessed with that, also some gay dudes are only talking about it, so, anyone knows?
so what's this "gLee" thing?
" It's a TV show designed to cash in on the 'high schools are a hotbed for spontaneous musical outbursts' trend. That being said, I don't actually mind it that much, but I do have a penchant for slightly trashy summer viewing. "So, it's pretty much High School Musical all over again? Jesus Fucking Christ....
" i dunno this years OC. with this crap and twilight im losing faith. "It's okay. The entertainment industry is currently on a decline, but don't lose faith. This can't last forever.

said:Sort of. Not really. It's teen angst soap opera and fun times interspersed with some decently done performances. But it's got chicks getting up the duff and sexting and being gay and stuff. Y'know, all the things kids are into these days." So, it's pretty much High School Musical all over again? Jesus Fucking Christ.... "
" It's a movie. With Jennifer Lopez. "AHA! You're probably htinking Gighli! So proud am i...
It's a shitty copy of Fame. Not that Fame was really good anyway. But for some reason it's really popular, which completely baffles me.
" It's a movie. With Jennifer Lopez. "Don't bring my lady into this!
Anyway, Glee is some new musical TV show. One of my coworkers is obsessed with it. I've heard the soundtrack, and once I heard them disgrace Journey, I've been completely morally opposed to them and their music.
oh my.... they destroyed one of my favourite songs from Journey. :(" I saw a clip of a cover of one of those 80s rock ballads (Don't Stop Believin) and thought, "if this is irony or parody, it isn't bad", then I discovered it is serious and now I don't know what to think.
"
It's a fun show. Saying they're ruining Journey is so pathetic considering how well it works in the show.

"I am not about to start watching the show, but I kinda like the version of Journey - like, not love - it is happily infectious. There are too many decent shows and movies for me to add Glee to my list.
Isn't it funny how many of us hate something because it is really popular. Usually with good reason, but not always.
I believe it's a stupid musical show...I tried watching it once and it was just another awful modern tv show.
It's some pretty quality music for a tv show.
I don't understand. Since when has Journey had such fervant support?
" garnett Lee? "My first thought as well.
I'm not a stalker, I promise...well, not for Mr. Lee. Maybe for Jeff Green. ;-)
It really is a satire of "High School Musical". The show is more of a comedy then anything else. I generally stop paying attention during the singing parts.
Kills 45minutes at work, so eh something to do.
I just don't like it when people go around calling themselves Gleeks if they are a fan of the show. It had a way different meaning when I was a kid.
It's a pretty good show. From what I can tell, most of the bashing going on here is from people who haven't even seen it.

Omg that is..NOOOO here good people listen to this song how it was supposed to be heard:" @oldschool said:

Listen to Me!
Sorry the song doesn't allow you to embed it.
Just gonna say it: I. Love. Glee.
For those comparing it to High School Musical, the only thing it has in common with it is the fact it's setting is high school and there's some singing sometimes. Otherwise it's totally different. I also find that the show is pretty self aware. They've made a show with totally stereotypical characters, but the actors and dialog make them very likable. Also, the story lines are just ridiculous enough to make for fun viewing. And so you get great moments like this...
Anybody who compares this to other "high school" shows/movies like The OC, Twilight and High School Musical clearly has never watched an episode of Glee. They all do their own singing and a lot of them have done on/off Broadway work(and some of them stars like Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison).
I haven't seen an episode yet, however I've heard people say it has very smart dialog. I think it's written by the same folks who did FX's Nip/Tuck. There's music too obviously, but the show gets mediocre ratings averaging around 7 million viewers per episode ( source). Half those of hits like Bones and House. I think it might get another year if ratings seem to improve and the thought that word of mouth is encouraging new viewers. However, the show is on FOX and they have a notorious record of canceling shows early do to lackluster ratings (Arrested Development, Futurama, Firefly, etc...)
