Recently I've been trying to take better care of my body.  Upon reading the labels on the back of orange juice and apple juice containers that each has more sugar than soda.  Why is it we are constantly being told that soda is worse for you even though it contains less sugar?  I think it's just a bunch of propaganda started by hippie farmers trying to sell their products.

There are other things in drinks besides just sugar, right? And in comparison to some of those synthetic additives, Sugar is pretty harmless, just don't over-consume it.

Well sugar content isn't the only indicator of what is healthy and what isn't.

Well, take into what you get other than the sugar. Orange juice for one contains several vitamins and calcium, both of which do wonders for your body. Soda contains very little that does much for you nutrition-wise.

I like juice and I like soda, but if I were stuck on a desert island with only one...Fruit Juice every time. And not only for nutritional value either.

Bingo.

I drink cran-raspberry juice like crazy, may not be great for the sugar intake.

Not to mention that the sugar in fruit juice isn't the processed cocaine-like powder that is in sodas, its pure and natural fructose which is okay for a serving.

My advice if you want to be healthier when it comes to drinks: drink only water for awhile.  I really helps for you to figure out how good you feel being fully hydrated without the extra caffeine and crap in sodas.

The problem with drinking just water is that when my leg gets dehydrated I like to drink a soda to rehydrate it.

I don't know specific names...but I know the sugar in fruit juices isn't the same as that in soda. So while it says sugar, its natural if its coming in 100% fruit juice. So its better for you than the alternative.
