I was taking a look at the games Sony is planning on offering as payback for the PSN outage. But is that really what people want? Is that enough for the PS Plus people who actually pay for the service? Does anyone feel like there are other things Sony needs to do to be square with their customers, or have they done enough?
Sony Offers Free Games, Is That Enough?
What else do they have to offer? More games? More free PS+? More movie rentals? They've given away a not insignificant part of their services. What more do you want?
I don't think it makes up for it, but nothing could truly make up for it, and they shouldn't try. If you wanted to play online sometime over the past few weeks, you couldn't. You'll never be able to change that. This is just a way of saying "we're sorry, but let's move on." And really that's all you can do.
as long as the PSN comes back and functions as it normally would and you aren't suddenly in debt on your credit card, you really shouldn't be complaining. just be happy that it's back up and be grateful for anything they're giving you
You can get 4 great games that would roughly cost $80 plus PS+. I am satisfied with that.
I am looking forward to playing WipEout HD/Fury, Dead Nation, LittleBigPlanet PSP, and ModNation Racers PSP.
It's two free GH games and two free PSP games, along with $5 worth of PS+. That's $15*2 + $10*2 + $5 = $55 value. Even if you undercut that by 75%, that's over $10 in value. They don't owe you jackshit.
Stop being ungrateful and accept the free shit that's being given to you. Not like they aren't offering ID theft consulting out of their pocket or anything, for any fraud detection. AKA even more free stuff. I don't really understand how people are complaining unless they're 360 fanboys trying to profit off of PSN's downtime.
Yes it's enough. I pay for Plus and I'm getting a free month, and free games. Considering that most likely nothing will ever happen personally due to the information leak, I think Sony is doing more than enough.
It's fine. If it means that everyone on PSN (I guess, North American PSN at least) doesn't have an excuse to not play Wipeout HD then the world is a better place.
i'm pretty happy with it...too bad i already played infamous and lbp.
It would be if they weren't games that I already own. In other words, they should have just given me $40 to use towards Sony published software on PSN. Basically they are only appealing to their less hardcore userbase with this offer and that's kind of a harsh burn. To be fair, I don't have Dead Nation yet, but it also isn't a game that appeals to me in the least.
Honestly, the assurance that my credit card information will never be directly accessed again is enough.
Full PS3 games came completely out of left field. I was expecting some little thing but that plus so much more? Seriously, don't be so ungrateful.
2 psp and ps3 games and PS+ for the outage. ps+ people get 60 days added on to there membership.

2 PS3 games
2 PSP games
30 days of PSP+
100 free "Home" Items
I'd say they provided more then enough. Even if you own the games or don't use home (which I don't) I still think they've given ample handouts for this.

I am satisfied with that.I am looking forward to playing WipEout HD/Fury, Dead Nation, LittleBigPlanet PSP, and ModNation Racers PSP.You can only choose 2 of the 5 in each system. So I'm probably going with Infamous and Super stardust HD. I already own the others.
Yeah definitely enough in my opinion. Even though I haven't logged into PSN anyways in four months, I still think Sony did more than enough to make up for the outage.
I think the fraud protection was more in line with what would placate me as the bigger issue was the potential for identity theft. I mean networks go down and shit happens, but the security breach was the big thing that I wanted them to make up for and a move for free protection was the right one. The games are just a bonus and I'm glad they are offering that, hell now I'll finally get around to playing Infamous.
yes, i think it's enough. they are giving people a free month of plus, which pretty much was the amount of time psn was down. the people that were paying also get a free month. i'm sure the bill is moved to another month. i don't have plus but it is a free service. i think it's enough, they are giving us a free game. i do think that sony should have gave us say $20 to the playation store so we can buy our own things that we want. i do think we are going to have to pick a bad game.
microsoft had a problem with xbox live during christmas one year. they gave everyone a free game of undertow. it wasn't that popular or great of a game.
I actually didn't even expect them to go that far with this, so good enough for me. I'll still be apprehensive about buying off the PSN store with my CC for a while, but we'll see how things go anyway.
