@humanity: I found this aspect to be unbearable, more than with any of the other movies. Definitely aimed at a younger audience, with the constant childish humour. Force Awakens did it too, but not quite to the extent of Last Jedi.
I'd go as far as saying it's on par with Jar Jar.
