As a fan of both Buckethead and Local H, I suggest you check out Lordi and Opeth. Opeth may not necessariliy be underrated, but if you haven't heard the recently remastered and rereleased Still Life, you're missing out.
Hanoi Rocks, i don't know if they're popular but i've heard very few people talk about them, they influenced bands like GnR and Motley Crue (who are basically a ripo-off, right now i'm just listening to a bunch of their stuff. My personal favorite is Tragedy:
Lostprophets and Bullet for my Valentine have some good stuff that not that many people appreciate. It something that initially isn't mindblowing, but over time it grows and becomes some of the best songs you have ever heard. At least IMO.

I'm not sure how many people here listen to Electric Wizard (Besides MB, I know he does:P). But they are quite amazing. Take a listen: (The song is called Stone Magnet)
Definitely Bloc Party...most people know them only for Helicopter, which appears in GHIII, and probably Positive Tension which is in Forza Motosport 2...but most of their songs are awesome. In particular, I like the riff in this one a lot:

I'd have to disagree with you. I hate emo, and I loath most other bands that tFoT are compared to, but the Fall of Troy are awesome. On the surface they can sound emo, but their lyrics are anything but.
For example, they have one song that sounds like a song about a relationship, but the lyrics are about oxy cotton, thus blatantly mocking stereotypical emo songs.
Saying the Fall of Troy are emo kids who can sweep pick is like saying Buckethead is a metal freak who can only shred arpeggios and wears a gimmicky hat.

Yeah I could agree with that, I just remember watching a video a long time ago and I really felt like I was watching My chemical romance with actual talent but still sounding "Emo" but thats just me, I'll look them up again though.

Were you watching F.C.P. Remix? If so, I could see why you would say that. That's one of their worst songs, and doesn't really sound like their other stuff.
