SWINE FLU has made me superhuman. Has the same happened to you?

Now, when I read this my eyes popped out of my head. I contracted H1N1 in September of 2009. I have not been sick or near sick once since then. That's a solid 15 months. Has anyone else gotten crazy immunity from flu and colds since getting swine flu? If this is true, then I am officially stronger than B4tm4n.

As an immigrant, I got a shitload of shots done to me as a kid.   
 
I have never had a sick day until university (and those sick days were me being sick of classes).

Did you catch it at PAX? I came away from PAX unscathed that year, but I've always had a rock solid immune system. Congratulations!

Nope. But once, I got a wicked stomach bug and later could fire lazers out of my eyes. That ended up being a fever dream, though.

Correlation doesn't imply causation. I haven't gotten sick in more than a year but I also haven't gotten the swine flu or bird flu, hell any kind of flu. What I'm saying is your hypothesis is full of holes.

that is pretty cool man. i have a good immune system. i never get sick. i got sick in novemeber like a small cold but nothing to bad. i think it's from eating a lot of spicy food/ hot sauce.

I got it back in 2009 but definitely am still susceptible to ailment - I have a thick cough as I'm typing this, haha

5 years and we all may have this kind of immunity in our bodies. A universal flu vaccine would be very nice. Although I hope there wouldn't be any distant future side effects that'll end up turning us into pigmen. 

Neither me or my mother have ever had any kind of flu, she gets her shots every year because she's in eldercare, I don't because I'm lazy scum. Only recently did the math over the last few years (I seriously make notes of the health of me and family, friends) and figured out that I have given various viruses including flu to people.
 
So gt your shots even if you're doing fine.

I haven't been sick since I caught it either... my battle with it wasn't all too bad... bed ridden for a week.. but not even so much as a bad cold in about 4 years. I'm either superhuman, or HIV positive.

maybe I should get that checked out.

Swine flu? never had it.

I havent been sick for about 5 years.

I haven't been sick in about 3 years, mainly because i'm a fucking loser with no friends or human contact.

Last time I was sick was after about 2 years of not being sick, that was bad, coughing up blood and shit.

@randomhero666: I hope you went to the hospital, coughing up shit sounds pretty serious and I'm sure it didn't taste very good.

I went to the highschool that was the epicenter of the damn thing, and I did get a very mild case of it. I think I had been sick since then, so maybe this isn't as widespread as thought.

aside from sore throats I have been rock solid as well. I didnt need no swine flu though.

BIRTH made me superhuman.

I rarely get sick, I can lift heavy heavy HEAVY weight, and I have only suffered two major injuries in my life (both of which occurred in the same location: broken collarbone). Must be my weakness. Should probably get those covered in adamantium.

I'm guessing that no one here counts the common cold as being sick? 'Cause I get those all the time. As for anything else, I haven't gotten sick in over a decade. I guess the last flu I got gave me this superpower.

But in all seriousness I also had the swine flu back in 2009 and haven't been sick since aside from a cold or two.

I've had colds here and there. The last one was like 2-3 years ago. I've had the flu once. Haven't had it again. So maybe I'm superhuman? I also never get the flu vaccine, so take that as you will.

I sat in close proximity to like 2 people who caught at my office when it was going around and never caught it to begin with, I assume I'm just super human all the time as a result.

I have never had the swine flu and my immune system is amazing.

I believe having grown up in Indonesia gave me supercharged immunity. Not to discredit my country but it's not the most sterile place in the world. When I first came to the US I literally never got sick for 3 years. Nneevver.

Now I'm spoiled though, I probably take a sick day every couple of months or so...
