Enjoy the moment  :-)

I never thought that Australia was strong enough to win this series.  The bowlers are average at best.  This is the first time in a long time that Australia is also just average at best.  It is probably good for cricket that one country doesn't so strongly dominate the game.

Hahaha. While there were a couple of doggy decisions that went England's way, there were also a couple that went Austrlia's way. There were at least two balls in australia's last innings that should have been LBW that weren't given.

There was some suspect umpiring, but that is cricket.  England played better.

We should. Still everything to play for.  Never mind some dubious decisions, England deserved this win, even Ponting admitted it

I am confident of a 3-1 Australian victory provided that Mitchell Johnson starts bowling properly and England aren't unsportsmanlike as they were in the first test at Cardiff

Just read this description of the rules:

You have two sides, one out in the field and one in.

Each man that’s in the side that’s in goes out, and when he’s out he comes in and the next man goes in until he’s out.

When they are all out, the side that’s out comes in and the side that’s been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out.

Sometimes you get men still in and not out.

When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in.

There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out.

When both sides have been in and all the men have out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!

It's a blow having Peterson out for the rest of the series.

btw, talking of unsporting behavior,  This looks a  lot like Ricky Ponting claiming a catch that wasn't.  surely he wouldn't do that...... would he?

A cricket topic?

\o/

Also, to the laypeople, it helps if you just watch cricket with someone who understands the game and ask them questions.

It also helps if you watch it from a young age >_>

Pietersen is good even when he's playing poorly most of the time, so it is a blow having him out. Having said that, if Strauss, Colly and Flintoff carry on batting well, we should be able to make decent enough runs, and if they bring in Bell or whoever, so long as they're in form, we wont miss him as much. Bopara and Cook can do more then they are, so we should be able to cope. Although Anderson and Flintoff were great in the last test, I think we need a Simon Jones still, as the Aussies wern't comfortable playing him and he was swining it all over the place... the ball I mean.... the circket ball, that is.

Haddin has just broken his finger in the warm up, and we've allowed them to bring a new man in. How sporting of us.

I cant believe I missed this thread. And I just shit myself laughing when I seen this. But to bring it back game related... Can you believed they are launching The Ashes the game on the 13th of August? Just in time for no one to give a shit about the Ashes anymore for another series. Crap move guys.

Watching on SBS as I type.  8 -203.  England have bowled themselves into this match.  Even with rain, there is a good chance of a result and unless English batsmen fall apart, I think they are a better chance.

Strauss will go on to make a hundred and Bell will fall just short of 50.  I think England will reach  about 350 all out.

I'm bizarrely hopeful for England's chances this series.

Well, one day to go and it's looking very likely it's going to be a draw.  Although if we get a few quick wickets, you never know ( although very unlikely) Great batting performance from freddy also.

Hussey just got out. If North doesn't do anything England still have a chance to win and make it really hard for us as we would have to win the last 2 to draw the series and retain.

I would just like to take this moment to say: Fuck all Englishmen ya' bastards with your warm beer and ...nah not really :-D you guys are alright.
