The first of many! Maybe...

Around 2 to 3 weeks ago I decided to play through both gears games to prepare for the last one to close out the trilogy. Alright, that may not have been the real reason but I enjoyed both games nonetheless. The quality jump from each game was nice to experience and while brushing up on the achievements, I really took my time and enjoyed the sites. I didn't remember the game having such great backdrops. Even the caves were alright and I dislike caves or dungeons in any game.

Before gears 3 dropped I went ahead and purchased the GOW3 Controller and was almost tempted to buy the GOW3 Console from amazon. 40 Bucks credit! Really! I am a weak man but I stayed strong and passed on that deal. I'll take any small victory I can get.

Which leaves me with one of two reasons for this blog post. The controller came with 2 codes. One for weapon skins which I took for myself. Another for a 2-Day Gold Pass: FMQKX-H23C4-BPP7V-K2RM9-CTHCQ. Whoever gets it enjoy. I myself don't need it and all my friends already have Gold already. I know 2 days of xbox live is not really a huge deal but I hope someone can make good use of it. If you use it to add to your active subscription, that's cool too.

Second... Achievements... Yeah. Personally my 360 collection is nearing 300 (If I haven't already reached it. I can barely keep up with the stuff I buy off Amazon) and I've played about 10%? of them? Maybe? (Whats with all the Maybes?). I undertook a goal of reaching 100,000 GS before the next set of console hit. Wii U2 is excluded in this deal btw. Setting at around 22k now I have a long way to go but I have plenty of enough games to do this on. Even with online achievements like the gears collection, another goal I set is to reach at least 500 GS with those types of games.

Will it happen? Maybe not but it gives me an semi valid excuse for buying all these games. So I'll leave you with that. The next one could change as much as Gears 2 did or it could become like Dynasty Warriors and not change at all. Joshing on that last joke. No disrespect to any DW games as I only played 1 of those at a friends house for 2 hours and cannot properly judge them. Back on the Ps2.

Good luck getting to 100,000GS it takes a fucking while, i think im on something like 30,000 but i dont remember. It might be taking me so long because ive got bored of the whole achievement thing but hey. Also i still own my copy of gears 1 and 2 so maybe i should play those too seeing as i dont remember pretty much anything about those games except fuck those screechers.
