The New Dragon Ball Movie Trailer
"This movie doesn't look relevant to Dragonball at all, aside from maybe a plot, title, and characters. It will be terrible. I'm ashamed that I used to like Dragonball, now."I couldn't agree more. Its embarrassing. It looks like Blade meets the Mummy. Its a disgrace they had 100 million dollar budget for this...i mean piccolo isn't even green lol

Sorry, but "it doesnt look liek teh series!!!11", does that say anything about the quality of the movie? I too find the casting and designs laughable, from a fanboy perspective, but honestly. "Dragonball" and "Dragonball Z" are cheap series of B-movie quality dialogue and design. This movie seems to be just that - only it's a different design. That doesn't make it any more idiotic. If anything, it should tell you that the director doesn't want to just illustrate the material that is already there (movies that stay too close to the source material almost always fail), and that maybe, just maybe, the people involved know how to use the medium film to tell a nice story. I say: What was interesting and pleasant about the series can't even be transferred to a two-hour movie, even if they did stay close to the original design. It certainly wasn't good writing or good cinematography that made me watch DBZ.
Granted, chances are high this will be crap. But the fact that it doesn't look exactly like the series is no indicator of that. Just like how close a book adaption is to the original story is no indicator of the movie's quality.
shit made me laugh man.
they should have had someone capable of actually staying true to the source material like the wachowski brothers or something.
this shit looks like a teen movie with karate moves. ugh. looks like it was ripped straight out of the 80s
face palm.
I am not looking forward to this at all i have to say, and no it's not because it isn't all asians and no it's not that they didn't stick to the plot line it's because of the sad little kid they chose to play goku, and the sadness that the females are all sexy and not goofy as is meant to be. They could have had nothing to do with the original and i would proble have been fine with it but now it looks well refer back to top of page.
Ok, no. No, no no no NO!!!!
WTF is this shit!? SERIOUSLY!? So many things wrong. It can drive a man to drinking.
#1 - WHO IN THE HELL IS MAI!?
#2 - WHY IS PICCOLO WHITE!? Racist directors, man.
#3 - What is this 'I must know Kung Fu' BS also?
#4 - Goku not being ready? BS! He's ALWAYS READY!
#5 - Where's the Kamehameha CGI? In fact, where's the CGI at all?
Seriously people, I want addresses. NAO!

Bullshit. It's the stories that keep relevant to the source material that work best."Shouldn't you all be smarter than this?

Casino Royale, A Scanner Darkly, Requiem For A Dream, etc.
Oh and two of society's most loved films of all time, The Godfather and The Shawshank Redemption rarely deviated from the source.
