What if in the next Star Trek movie they had the Federation fighting against religious extremists hell bent on destroying the Federation and its allies? They could mirror several contemporary bastards like Osama Bin Laden and Julian Asange. What do you think?
The next Star Trek movie plot
"Julian Assange? Hahaha! Also, the next Star Trek movie should be about Q. "
this
also, it should involve whales and time travel
but I'd expect it to be about Klingons
tl;dr - Klingons tried to genetically enhance themselves (after seeing humans do it) and done fucked it up.
" @Afroman269: And yet you respond. "If I didn't care then I wouldn't. I care enough to declare this thread stupid.
For a show that's supposed to preach understanding and tolerance, your views are pretty ignorant.. Especially of Julian Asange who's only crime is exposing how corrupt American and European governments have become.
Personally, I'd love to see a remake of Space Seed. Kirk and crew finding a ship of genetically enhanced people from the 21st century, who proceed to take over the ship. The problem is that it's still too similar to the Wrath of Khan and any attempt to emulate that movie would likely fail. I also believe they've already confirmed it wouldn't be Khan but would be a known villain from the series. In my opinion, the Klingons are completely over done.. but I'd let it slide if we see a return to the more samurai styled versions of them, instead of the over the top vikings they became on TNG and DS9.
Trelane would be my pick though, perhaps work his story in with the Q somehow.
I actually liked Voyager quite a bit but when I tried to watch Enterprise. . .
I got through half an episode then never came back. But I saw your reply to KingWilly and that is a pretty interesting way to go with the story. All this being said, would you recommend I give Enterprise another shot?
"BEEN A LONG ROAD."
@McGhee_the_Insomniac: Personally I think the majority of Enterprise is pretty terrible. The last season or two do end up picking the show up off the ground a bit but the amount of crap you have to wade through isn't really worth it IMO.
That said, it has in fact been a long road
How about topless green alien chicks, from the planet Boobton. They live in boob domes, in the city of boobopolis.
