what has our world come to when our cookies can't hold there own. They are spoiled with raisins, peanut butter, nuts, marshmellows, other cookie ( yes i know it's crazy) and who knows what else. I personally think cookies are good enough plain hard or soft. Just wondering what us giantbombians think of these crazie cookie combinations today.

I humbly disagree, toppings and assorted whatyamacallems on a cookie can really improve the taste experience.

As a student of Le Cordon Bleu's pastry program (/snood,) I agree that cookies CAN hold their own, but I see nothing wrong with diversifying.

Now this is a thread I can really get behind.  I'm a purist.  Sugar, Chocolate chip, or peanut butter for me.  However, nothing beats warm sugar cookies with frosting and sugar sprinkles.  I can imagine that heaven is just a giant, freshly baked, sugar sprinkled cookie that goes on for eternity.  /swoon

Heck yeah! I agree with you 100%, Chokobo! Warm sugar cookies FTW!

I too am a fan of chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. I've also become a fan of the special Holiday Oreo cookies that come out around Christmastime: Oreos dipped in chocolate or vanilla frosting. Pop some of those in the fridge to get a lil' cold and eat them with a nice, cool glass of milk... now that's good eatin'!

Hmm, I love three types of cookies:

1. Rainbow Cookies. This isn't actually what they are called and for the life of me I have never actually seen or heard the name. But they are the cookies that look like small pieces of cake with three different colors, a little bit of jelly between each color, and chocolate/chocolate sprinkles surrounding it.

2. Black & Whie Cookies. Enough said.

3. Chocolate cookies that are VERY crispy. Not burnt, but definitely not gooey. I want the cookie to be very crunchy, but the chocolate chips to melt in your mouth.

I lied, I have more than three favorite cookies.

4. Once again, I don't know the names of these cookies but they are always at my nana's (grandma) house. They are these different shapes; circles, stars, squares, etc. With varied sugar colored coating.

5. Holiday cookies. I am not good with actual cookie brands, as you may have noticed. But these are the vanilla cookies with varying shapes in the middle which correspond with their respective holidays. I always loved to chew around the shape until all of the outside was gone, then I would eat the shape. I also like these crispy.

I also love muffins...

But that's all for now.
