Oh man that's rough. I'm also extremely close with my brother and getting that kind of call is one of my nightmares, I'm very sorry you have to go through this but I'm glad to hear hes awake and responsive. If Sparky is able to read this, stay strong duder! We're all pulling for you!
There aren't many people I've met through the internet that I would legitimately call friends, but Cameron is absolutely firmly in that category. From the earliest days of the site (yes duder, I remember that Leisure Suit Larry avatar like it was yesterday) I've been bullshitting with him over so many things - from video games to writing and music. He's a fantastic writer, a trait that's evident in everything from his Giant Bomb blogs to his self-published novels. I bought all of his books in paperback as soon as I could, and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation (speaking of which, if you're not already familiar with Cam's novels, be sure to look up "Rankin Flats Supernatural Thrillers").

Just wanted to post an update on Sparky(Cameron). After four days in the Cardio Unit at the hospital, multiple testing, and and Angiogram (spelling?), the medical staff and doctors have found what they think to be the problem.
After the Cardiologist went in and did the Angiogram test, they found lots of fluid build up in the heart. From what I could understand from all the big words being thrown around, it sounds like it is not a blood clot or heart attack. My understanding is it's a build up of fluids in the heart that can cause heart attack like symptons. This is great news, but we aren't out of the woods yet. My brother is under some pretty heavy meds and he has to have regular check ups, but he was cleared to leave the Cardio section of the hospital.
My family and I would like to send a huge thank you to this community for standing behind not only Sparky, but us. Your thoughts, prayers, good vibes, and everything everybody else sent was heard and we are very very thankful. I cannot thank this community enough for the kind words and what a wonderful great group of people. Thank you again.
@upperdecker: That's about the best news you can hope for in this situation. I'm sure there battles yet to be fought in this, but at least now you all know what you face.

That's excellent to hear! It's good that they found what's going on. Hopefully they can get him started on getting that fluid out of there and he'll be feeling better soon!
