Visiting London area - best gaming spots?

I'll be in the UK for a bit this year from the other side of the world and i was wondering if there is anywhere you would recommend that has video or board gaming stuff or experiences?

It seems easy enough to find big shops but i was thinking maybe something i wont find elsewhere or with a british flavour?

Loading bar in dalstone has a mixture of board games and video games. The video games are consoles only. Think they have a snes and n64 alongside modern consoles. Think they have one arcade machine though. Heart of gaming has multiple though and could be better if you want older games.

Draughts in the shorditch haggerstone area is the best for just board games. Its £5 to play but they have a good selection and have dedicated gurus to teach you the rules. Very good atmosphere. Always busy tho so i would book ahead. Check out both there websites.

It's ok but it was really busy when I went.

Join London on Board* on www.meetup.com. We meet almost every day in various pubs in central London to play board games and drink.

Orcs Nest is a small but wonderful game shop just off of Shaftesbury Avenue. Nearest tube stop is Leicester Square, which is on the northern and Piccadilly lines.

If you want to travel to North London, Leisure Games in Finchley is a nice big store. Finchley Central is the nearest tube station, on the northern line.

Warboar Games Cafe in Bromley is also a place, never been there though.

This place in Streatham has a ton of retro games, many of them Japanese imports if that's what you're into.

Draughts is great, I'm a member there.

Loading Bar is pretty cool, and some awesome people work there. A fun time.
