There are a fair few intelligent posters here, which makes me hope that we don't have the anti-literature community that seemingly makes up the vast internet populace.  Obviously our chosen medium of entertainment does subtract from the overall time we have to read, but come on!

I've personally just finished reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, which is honestly one of the best books I've ever read in any genre.  It's essentially a fantasy book, but it manages to dodge the generic feel and overused cliches so often found in the genre.  I can't recommend it enough.  It started off a bit slow for my tastes, but really picked up about a hundred pages in.

The Walking Dead: Volume 1 - An exceptionally well known comic series, The Walking Dead is about zombies.  Yeah, big shock right?  I've heard plenty of good things, but I'm still having a hard time getting into it.  Then again, comic books and manga have never appealed to me, so that's probably my problem.

Patient Zero - Another zombie book.  Haven't actually started reading it yet, but I'm planning to later tonight.

What has everyone else been reading?

I generally don't read...  But I read a couple books every now and then.  I read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy when I'm bored.  Absolutely hilarious.
Then for a Bible study, I'm reading Slave of Christ.  It's a good read, but a hard one as well.

Just After Sunset - Stephen King /currently

As far as zombie novels go you should check out David Wellington that dude released an awesome zombie trilogy as wel as an even better vampire trilogy.  He's become my favorite author by far.

Edit: Another zombie must read is
World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War.  That book is major cool.

School-wise, I have to read To Kill a Mockingbird. Although I do love to read, I just never get around to reading.

I saved the mods some trouble by getting the old what are you reading topic. It's pretty old so I don't blame you for not knowing about it.

I picked up Tales a couple of weeks ago. It's a collection of stories by H.P. Lovecraft that were put together by Peter Straub. Some of my favorites so far are The Statement of Randolph Carter, The Outsider, Herbert West - Reanimator, and The Call of Cthulhu.
