What did you fear the most when you where a kid?
" @Jasta said:Its not I'm afraid of the water, I'm a great swimmer, Its the things that are in the water that scare the shit out of me."Not very. Were you really afraid of water? I honestly don't understand that fear. It's been spiders for me my whole life. I hate 'em! "

Death. I believe Ryan Davis (or someone) once said "Death is something you just don't think about or it drives you crazy" or something like that.
I was scared of clowns, seriously scared. I'm now mainly scared by the devout.
I think we'd have a hard time finding a kid who was not afraid of needles.
I got one, SNAILS. I was somewhat terrified of snails. So slimy and creepy. I see they jockin' me, trying to play like they no me.
" @Buck said:What is that from?Oh shi.......... The memories. EDIT: What was it name? I've forgotten"

@Hay4z: She's from a cartoon show thing called Moomins that I used to watch when I was a kid. It was pretty awesome but "the Groke" used to scare the shit out of me. Like in this particular episode...
" @Kjellm87: Depends on where you're from I guess. She's called mörkö in Finland, and the Groke or something in english.Oh, fuck, I remember her. Fuck, fuck, fuck.

Ventriloquist dummies and strange looking dolls would send me running as a kid. Watching Child's Play when I was really young was probably what caused it.
Its sparse and unfathomably (PUN!) deep; its often very difficult to see below you and there is no edge or wall to back up on to." @Jasta said:

Yes, the ocean is fucking terrifying.
Edit: I'm also not keen on spiders, but its not so much a fear any more.
I didn't think I was scared of heights until I actually looked down during a recent climb. The descent became a panicked scrabble for life after that...
" I was scared about the size of the universe. Funny thing to be scared of as a kid. I would spend nights thinking about how huge the universe was, and it terrified me. Another thing was the length of eternity. At that time I didn't know that the universe hadn't been around forever, so I was thinking about how long an eternal lifespan would last, and how horrible it would be to live for an infinite period of time. Not a billion years, not a trillion years - but FOREVER. I was about 9 years old at the time, and I don't really understand the existential dread that afflicted me. Now, I marvel at the size of the universe and I would jump at the chance for biological immortality. Maybe my 9 year old self was... wiser. "DUDE! Are you talking about me? Exactly the same!

It's what you can't see that is most frightening. "
I admit

"This, but I was in Kindergarten, but I guess that makes me about 5. Watching the Jetsons bothered me cause it would spark those thoughts.
I've never seen that show, so the build up to her appearance was quite tense. But 6:53 scared the shit out of me." @Kjellm87: Depends on where you're from I guess. She's called mörkö in Finland, and the Groke or something in english.

I like this thread
I used to have a recurring dream (from age 5 to 10) where I'd get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and there'd be a scary person behind the bathroom door wearing this old lady mask that was in our coat closet. I'd always wake up terrified, even though nothing happened after I closed the door and saw the person. That dream made me afraid of closing the door to our bathroom at night until I was in high school. It also made me deathly afraid of closed, opaque shower curtains for some reason. I'm still afraid of them unless there's obviously someone taking a shower.
Darkness (still afraid)
Spiders (somewhat better now)
Needles (not afraid anymore)
Large Dogs (still afraid)
Bees (still afraid)
Santa. I just couldn't believe that my parents would let a old fat guy come into our house and give us "Presents", for all they knew he could of molested one of us!
nazi demons (thanks american werewolf in london)
the vampire Kurt Barlow (thanks salem's lot)
and MIDGETS, specifically oompa loompa's (thanks willy wonka)
I had a fear of getting crushed. The youngest of four children, my older siblings sat on me a lot, and I had a recurring dream in which a whale fell from the sky, and I was crushed.
In that dream, I actually started lifting up the whale until I gigantic sword also fell from the sky on top of the whale, which then brought me to my death.
Being crushed is a horrible death, by the way.
well this applies for me now, but whenever i walk past someone at 1 in the morning, even when im in a pretty safe neighborhood, i just have a feeling that the person i walked past is gonna stab me...
Being born and raised in a religious family whom instilled fear of Satan and his demons since childhood, I was terrified of 'them'! Every sound I heard at night (wind, rain, creaking of my own bed) I thought it was 'them'. Man, I prayed a lot in those days! I also was afraid of vomiting and spiders, fears I still have to this day.
Not really anything in particular scared me, but I was pretty prone to get spooked by pictures or movies which would linger for awhile.
Truth be told, I was looking at my older brother playing that Blair Witch game on pc once when I was younger, it showed a drawing of the witch and that image still scares the fuck out of me.
I was so afraid to be in dark hallways, I imaged her ghost image to chase me etc...I'm scared again, shit. xD
Oh god, I shouldn't have googled to find the picture.
Brb, trauma. ><
