From all the virtues what do you consider to be the most important one?
What is for you, the most important virtue to have?
Charity. Society is too impersonal and concerned with individuality nowadays.
So much could be solved if we all contributed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtue" give me a list of virtues please, I can't tell what is a virtue and what isn't :# "
Honesty and manners. I will never understand why people find it so dam hard to just say what they are thinking and tell the dam truth.
Respectfulness. This means respect for your fellow human beings. This goes above and beyond not being a total dick to someones face. For example, when you see a free sample tray, just take one. Another thing that pisses me off is in clothings stores. People dig like mad men trying to find the size they want and once they obtain it, they leave a wake of mess. I understand that the size might be at the bottom of the pile, but you do not need to claw your way through it and then not clean up your mess.
i would say honor because one of my ancestors was a samurai. a catholic one too

"No no, I'm fine with people indulging themselves. Just as long as they do their best to avoid harming others.@nintendoeats said:"" Peacefulness looks good. I'll take that one.Seriously, people need to chill the fuck out... "Yeah, that's why temperance rules. :p
From that huge list, I value sincerity, compassion, and empathy. Which are all key aspects to Kindness.

DON'T READ ANY AYN RAND BOOKS.
Her "objectivism" is pure bullshit. She's a proto-neo-con.
If we all did as Ayn suggested, we'd live in a dog eat dog society which devours itself.... oh wait, we already do....
" @theguy said:Oh no I disagree with her on many points, I just find the whole philosophy interesting. I just thought it was funny that what he said could almost word for word be from one of her books." @npeterson08 said:

There is a middle ground between Rand and FourWude. You will find non crazy people there, which is why my answer to the OP is moderation.
If there are only 7 sins I need to put some patents out on some shit.I would have thought you meant the 7 virtues which go with the 7 sins.
As for the topic: Dependability. If I can't count on you, nothing else fucking matters.

LOL... I'm anything but a leftist. Especially on economic matters.
I took down the Soviet Union, singlehandedly btw. But that's a separate story.
"Oh no I disagree with her on many points, I just find the whole philosophy interesting. I just thought it was funny that what he said could almost word for word be from one of her books. "Looking at the time period she was alive, she probably experienced the individualist mentality that came with capitalism in the early 1900's, and like a lot American philosophers, believed it was where society should go.
Anyway, gotta love Sociology.
I once wrestled a kodiak bear with nothing but a kumquat. Quite a weekend that was."I took down the Soviet Union, singlehandedly btw. But that's a separate story."
On a separate note, I'm pretty liberal, but most of my friends are conservative! I like to think of it as a game, subliminally converting them.
Realness. I can't stand posers. I probably dislike posers more than anything else in the world.

Reagan contacted me back in '84 personally to say shit was happening in Afghan. I wasn't interested initially, but he said there was a future post in washington in it for me. So they teamed me up with a guy called Timmy Laden (no idea what happened to him), and fucked shit up.
It was me doing the fucking of the shit up though. Behind enemy lines, survival on only what I found on field. I organised whole groups of farmers into deadly teams, they learned their stuff from me... me alone.
When I came back though in '89, with the SU lying in tatters, they didn't want to know me. They'd already teamed up and gotten into bed with the Russians on trade deals, and associating with me was deemed shameful, especially if Gorbhachev found out about it. They denied knowledge of me. Not even a handshake.
I was fucking betrayed then. Ever since I have plotted my vengeance.
True story.
