What is the name and use for this computer tool?

I was cleaning out all my computer boxes and found this tool and I've never used it and have no idea what it is or does.

Ah, the bandwidth spreader. You pipe your tubes into it and it keeps data from bumping into each other and careening into the other parts. Don't wanna ding your RAM, after all.

... Yeah, I've never seen that before either.

That looks like a prototype for the Enterprise.

What does the other end look like?

looks like something you'd put in an empty port just to fill that port. But I really don't have an idea

Yeah it looks like something you'd just use to fill a space with? Design wise it doesn't make any functional sense to me though. Doesn't seem like it would need to be shaped like that. May be just because I only have pictures to go by. Maybe it makes more sense in person.

Could maybe hold/organize wires if those triple holes go far enough in?

My initial thought was that it was for routing cables in a case, but after seeing other angles that doesn't look very likely. My second thought was that it's some kind of webcam stand for a flat-panel monitor, but that doesn't make a lot of sense either.

I'm guessing it's part of your computer case. Like case's feet or something. It looks too weird to be any tool to be used in building a pc.

It might be a slot type CPU holder.

You use it to pop computer corks.

I found out it came with my computer case by looking at pictures of the things I've bought over the years.

I see it in the picture for my case but I'm not seeing any information on what it is.

If you’ve got a very long graphics card, you can fasten the included plastic piece to the front rack and use it as a support for the back of the card. That’s a nice trifle, but not quite properly designed. The piece is only one, so it cannot be used for configurations with two graphics cards. And the graphics card must be a specific size for you to use this thing. My card proved to be insufficiently long, for example.

I'm guessing it's a thing to direct air. O_o
