This has been driving me nuts for a while now. What are those toys called that are kind of like a helicopter blade that fly up when you push them up? There would be a plastic stick that was twirled at the top and this helicopter blade like piece would go on top of it and when you pushed it up it would fly. I have no idea if my description makes any sense but if you have the name and perhaps an amazon link I would greatly appreciate it and I would be sure to send you some good vibes.

I think you're talking about bamboo dragonflies? The things where you put both your palms on a stick that has a propeller on top, move one hand forward and the other back, and then release, and the stick flies off into the air?

 This thing?

What about those water burrito things that have a tendency to slip out of your hand a ton? Does anybody know what they're actually called?

No they were more like what @medacris said, similar to this:

However there were no buttons on the side, there was just a little piece of plastic that was used to manually push the thing up. Did they go by any other name because a lot of other crap went by the name sky flyer.

I had one of those when I was a kid. I've no idea what they were called, but when you mentioned the little plastic piece you push up the rod to force the copter blade assembly into the corkscrew I instantly saw it in my mind.

So, thanks a lot for spreading the frustration... gee, some people...!

@DarthOrange: I don't know about here, but in Japan, they're called "taketombo."
