"Ummmm....My 5 favourite would probably be
1. Desolation Row - Bob Dylan
2. Brothers In Arms - Dire Straits
3. When The Ship Comes In - Bob Dylan
4. Jack The Ripper - The White Stripes version
5. Chimes Of Freedom - Bob Dylan"
Those are great songs. Bob Dylan is hands down the best songwriter ever. "When The Ship Comes In" is a song I frequently overlook, but a great one nonetheless. My favorite version of that is the one on the Bootleg Volumes 1-3. Good piano line underneath his singing.

"Kickstart My Heart by Motley Crue"

Dude, that's one hell of a song. Not bad, my man, not bad. But my personal all-time favorite is Ten Years Gone, by Led Zeppelin. It's really a beautiful piece of music that "just gets to me," every single time."
Thanks dude, that song just makes me want to live. The energy and whatnot emitted from it. Plus it has a bleakly hilarious backstory.
As for favorite songs in how they emotionally resonate with me and whatnot I could list a shitload of Strung Out songs. They've been my fave band for over a decade now and the music and the lyrics just grip me, but I can't deny how fucking much I love Kickstart My heart.

Out of all the great songs, classic songs, amazing songs, and everything else, there is one song that I can always go back to and it never gets old for me:

"Destroy the Map" by 36 Crazyfists

It makes me do the "Breakfast Club Bop".  You know, whenever that song is playing in Breakfast Club, and Molly Ringwald does that little dance...yeah, that.  Except I do the dance in my head, not in real life.  No one wants to see that in real life.  -_-
