What Type Of Music Do You Dislike The Most And Why?

(Lets keep this dicussion civil and try not to let things get out of hand)

The one genre of music I dislike the most is country. It doesn't appeal to me and its not my style of music. Me when I was growing up I mostly listened to Rap, R&B and Soul music. So I'm sure you can understand why country music doesn't appeal to me. But anyway express your thoughts of the type of music you dislike.

I won't judge you its your opinion and you have the right to express yourself. But don't let things get crazy negative. Im not trying to see people arguing over dumb shit on this thread.

It's a tie between Heavy Metal and country. I can barely understand what's be sung in Heavy Metal, and I find Country music boring.

There are usually songs I like in every genre, but dubstep seems irredeemable so far.

Country is just terrible.

Metal

It's just completely opposite of my taste. Almost all the music I listen to is down tempo and very chilled out. Metal is, excuse the hippy speak, way too harsh for my ears.

Punk, punk rock and everything with punk in it. Because it sounds like kittens being tortured by chinese donkeys with a political agenda.

Hardcore, because its not music. 

You know, the shit kinds. I'll listen to pretty much anything, but I gotta say I really can't stand noise/drone stuff. It needs some fucking melody; I do not understand people that listen to Merzbow and actually like it.

Edit: After reading a few comments I thought I'd add: saying "it's not music" is a total fucking cop-out. If you can't say explicitly why you don't like something then you're not giving it a fair enough chance.

Screamo, emo, death metal, a lot of punk. Basically music that hurts my ears.

And if anyone votes jazz, we're gonna have some issues.

The one with the person who screams unintelligibly into the microphone. He usually has long hair and tattoos. If he's so angry why doesn't he just suicide himself? That's what I think anyway. The music I like the best is the one with a clear female voice, not much instruments, and no fake auto-tune bullshit. I don't really go out of my way to listen to music but sometimes I like overhearing it.

The type that sucks, for obvious reasons.

I can't stand Country, Emo/Srceamo, anything -core, or the 90's grunge movement. It's not music, it's whiny apathetic kids bitching about how sucky their lives are. SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I don't really listen to much rap, but I do have respect for a lot of the old-school hiphop and rap groups.

I used to be into punk, but once I realized the hypocrisy of being "punk", my interest faded. I still like stuff by Bad Religion, Offspring , and DHC though

I'm a metal head. I don't like every sub-genre, but I love a lot of the 80's hair metal and thrash bands, also Power Metal and Prog Metal too. Also, shred.

I'm gonna say whatever genre the mainstream club stuff is associated with. I claim to be pretty comfortable with myself, but the few times I've gone with friends made me feel the most awkward I've ever felt. I certainly don't plan to sit down and study it like I prefer with any other music. Perhaps I need to be around a looser, more drunk crowd to appreciate it?

Uhm, I voted techno. I think that's the closest I can get to whatever rubbish one of my neighbours plays all the damn time and it turns me into an old moaning person and I don't like it!

Hmm... I actually can't think of a genre that doesn't have at least one song or artist that I find enjoyable in some way... But I guess R&B if I had to pick one. I don't really 'dislike' it, though.

Not only do I hate how it sounds but it gives a bad name to the original UK genre of dubstep that has existed for over a decade.

I don't want to hate america but they repeatedly take UK underground electronica and completely butcher it to pieces and then release it to the mainstream, ruining the original genre completely. I like UK dubstep, a lot, but I can't really talk about it with people on sites like this because most people think dubstep is that noisy mid-range bass stuff, when it's far from that.

It has forever tarnished a genre I love, so yeah, fuck you Brostep.

EDIT: Yep proving my point right here! I can confidently say that every single vote for dubstep is by someone who thinks dubstep is that stuff you hear in game trailers or those shitty TV theme remixes that people post on here all the time.

Well, news flash, it's not. Real dubstep can be dark and funky, it can be surreal and haunting, but it never, never sounds like 'robots fucking'!!!

I dislike bad music. There are redeeming qualities in all forms of music.

Any Metal with roaring in it.

Yes, there are exceptions, but out of all the music my brother's tried to share with me via the apartment walls, I've liked almost none of that roaring, screaming, machine-gun drumming garrrrrrrrglemesh.

I find stuff that I like in all the genres listed so I chose the last option. Scandinavian/German dance music (danseband), and by dance I don't mean electronic. It's the most repetitive, uninspired genre of music I have ever come across with lyrics that are the most vapid kind of vaporous.

Yeah, country music (which I picked) and the darker metals are not my thing. I love a lot of other metal styles, though, particularly groove metal.

Right on, braw. Dubstep is a sin to mankind. It has no rhythm, no soul, no melody, nothing. I don't understand why people dig this crap. Certain techno I'm alright but dubstep and today's "pop clubbing" music should be banned.

Metal. There are metal bands that I like, but so much of it is the same downtuned, palm-muted power chords it's unbearable.

made for radio pop music. with very few exceptions, it is the worst music.

It doesn't even try to be interesting or to do anything different, and it's also not my idea of fun music. If I want to turn off my mind and listen to something fun, I play something like Die For Metal by Manowar.

closely followed by mainstream "alternative" rock and metal, because that shit is horrible, and as someone who likes underground/experimental rock and black/doom metal a lot, it offends me.

Gospel/Christian/religious music and most modern country is awful.
