Whats a good DSLR for the 400-700 price range

i was just wondering wat good DSLR's there are for this price range. I was thinking about finally getting a good camera to complement my camcorder so i could mix it up with stills and video

things id like to consider are range for new lenses and upgrades as well as built in interval-ometers for timelapses
