Megabyte wise that translates to about 5 mB per second for download speed? At least that's what the speedtest.com says; but someone tells me that ISPs prioritize that site.

Something average like 10MB's or something. It's...tolerable...for me at least.

5 Mbps, unlimited, AT&T DSL. It's the best I can get and it gets what I need done.

Some company called Mascon just installed high-speed in our area. For fifty dollars a month I have access to a 1mb connection DSL line with a 40gb a month cap. It's totally a bullshit ripoff but it's the only option in our neck of the woods. It could be worse though. The village of Whitecroft (yes, I live in a village that has less than a hundred citizens) only had access 56k up until a couple of months ago.

About 4.5 MB/s (not mb/s) down and up, no caps.

Mine was 130mbps second once... then the place I moved to (in the center of Brighton... about a mile from where Ilive) has no form of fiber optics whats so ever! Furthermore my phoneline is wank and my would be 24mbps ranges from not connecting at all to speeds a 56k modem would be ashamed of! Getting it fixed next week though, miss my old connection :(

As above, unlimited downloads. According to Virgin Media this is fast enough for a family of 4. Screw them what do they know? This gets me about 7.5mb/s download from steam and it's only about £25 a month. Totally worth it :)

I am currently on EPB's fiber optic service so I get 100Mbps for $57 a month. They originally had us at 50 Mbps but they bumped everyone up for free so if you were on 100 Mbps then they bumped you up to their 1 Gigabit package.

50 Mb/s down and 5 Mb/s up. I pay 25 euros a month for this and there's no "download allowance". I have been planning on doubling my speed because it would only cost me an extra 7 euros a month.

It's the name of the service from Time Warner in the states. I'm in the North East US and have Road Runner.

This is via wireless from my laptop so I'm not maxing it out (not sure if it is 40/40, 45/45 or 50/50), our ISP are just fucking awesome. They are very helpful if there is anything wrong and easy to get a hold of. There is no cap (never has been), and this started of like 5 years ago or so as a 5/5 line and they have increased the speeds overtime without increasing the price. It is also fiberoptic. I'm so happy I live in a country (Norway) where most (not all) ISPs are sensible.

The best I got was about 300 KB/s download and 60 KB/s upload. No cap. About 40$/month.

And no, I am not happy about it...

You guys should come to Canada, where your main choice are Bell or Rogers and they are not competitive at all. :(

6megabyte down and 500kilobyte up and 230 gigs sits around $100/month.. they do offer lots of promotions though. Right now have that plan at 55% off for 2 years.

94.95 Mb/s Download, 12.07 Mb/s Upload, since the beginning of last week. It's a rather nice update to the 2 Mb/s one I used to have...

Haven't really played anything online as of yet, 'cept WoW. But I know that buying Steam games became a lot more tempting, when I can play just about any game on the same day I buy it.

Broadband speeds in my area does my head in.

Something that's physically connected by copper cabling at my home with big routers and exchanges, I get about 6mbps down and 1mbps up.

On 4G, over the frickin air.. I get about 30mbps down and 5mbps up.
