every couple of weeks i'll have a cigar. other than that i won't smoke anything. so far it's taste like tobacco and a sore throat.

I can honestly say that I do in fact believe that smoking Marijuana has more benefits than negatives. What I can't honestly say is that anything I present here, no matter how legitimate, would ever hope to sway your opinion on the matter. After watching Proposition 19 try and fail to change the legal status of the drug I realized that the ignorance of society on Marijuana is simply incurable, no matter how many myths are busted.

I smoke lightly. It calms me down and I do it maybe a once every month or three. Started at 15, stopped, started at 17 again and have been on an off again off again stint since then.

As a misguided youth I thought it was cool to smoke.  My choice was always camels unfiltered. To this day I still like Camels packaging. I didn't smoke more than a 6 months but would occasionally grabs some camels and light up a few then throw the rest away. I haven't smoked in about 10 years now.  
If you want to smoke then smoke. I do the think that based on the cost of cigarettes you have to be a little crazy. 
 
Last year a coworker asked about the cost of a shirt I had on. He kept saying how much of a waste it was. I looked at him as he smoked and asked how much do those cost. Then I estimated that he burned up twice the amount of my shirt a month. I told him I will be wearing this shirt for 3 years and what will you have? Once again if you want to smoke do it but it's not good for your health or wallet. btw I'm still wearing my designer shirt!

Don't smoke anything and never plan to. I do think people who smoke are dumb but I'm not the kind of person to get up in somebody's face about it. Its their choice and I respect it even if I don't agree with it.

I agree. I've taken a backseat approach to all of that since there really isn't any point in changing people's minds when they are dead set on being against you. With that said, I won't say that constantly inhaling weed smoke is a good thing to do over long periods of time. That's why I moved onto vaporizers and baked goods. Oh and...

Wait, who's the ignorant one here? I'm really not against or for this because, honestly, I don't give a shit. But you're delusional, both of you, if you think that frequently consuming marijuana, especially as weed smoke, like Afroman stated, is a generally healthy thing for you to do.

I don't smoke and never will! For those of you that know where it is, I grew up in an area of Souther California were LA's pollution gets trapped by a mountain range, bombarded with ultraviolet rays, and becomes much more deadly, so my lungs are pretty much busted already just by going outside and playing as a kid. I imagine smoking would just kill me much faster than most people.

Never started. Being 6 years old and seeing my grandmother hack up the most disgusting globs of slimy lung bits pretty much made that decision for me. That plus cancer is pretty rampant in my family history.

12. I stopped at 14 and never touched one since.

I started smoking last year right around my 23rd birthday.  My friend smoked but wouldn't smoke around me cause he felt like I would lecture him or something if he did.  So I took one of his cigarettes and smoked it to show him it didn't bother me, thinking "one won't kill me and I wonder what it feels like."  Now it's a year later and I smoke about 2 packs a week.  Wish I could jump in a DeLorean, go back in time and smack that first cigarette out of my hand.  Slippery slope....

Didn't. I've tried it on-and-off - particularly when drinking - but the smell and the taste I associate with discomfort.

Tried it a few times but didn't like it.
 
- waste of money
- disgusting smell (stinky breath + clothes)
- no real effects (except when you're already addicted)
