For some of us, we'll get a crazing to eat a quick (an usually unhealthy) meal at a fast food restaurant. Sometimes we get a burger, but other times we'll order something that could incorporate the chain's selection of sauces and condiments, like dipping sauces for fries, nuggets or even pizza or a taco with hot sauce. Curious as to what the community here thinks which chains have the best selection of sauces, or which establishment(s) has a certain sauce you can't resist ordering? For clarity, I'm mainly talking about the sauces that chains make themselves, such as BBQ, Ranch, Honey Mustard, Sweet n' Sour, or even a specialty dressing or ketchup. (Multiple choice thread)

If I had to pick one, it would be Chick Fil A just for the Chick Fil A sauce alone (a brilliant mix of Honey Mustard and BBQ sauce), but their Polynesian and Buffalo sauces are really good too. Taco Bell has also stepped up with the Volcano Sauce, which they need to say year round!

I really like Burger King's BBQ sauce, I just wish their burgers were better.

@alexw00d Some of those are regional, I've never even heard of Zaxby's, Checkers, or Krystal and I've never seen an In N Out, Bojangles, or White Castle. But yea, we've got some damn fast food.

I have never heard of a decent amount of those places, and I eat fast food like Dan does (OK, maybe not as much). So I have to say Taco bell.

Taco Bell mild sauce is legitimately great on breakfast tacos.

Overall, though, Chick-Fil-A gets the nod because that Polynesian Sauce is gold. Honey Mustard is great as well.

(I would say Firehouse if their array of hot sauce offerings counted, but you specified that they need to make the sauce themselves.)

Taco Bell, this is not even a question. I usually make sure to grab a few diablo packets to take home on my way out, unless it's a bad Taco Bell and there are no diablo packets (which is sadly the case more often than it should be). Chick-Fil-A is a close second.

Chipotle salsa is okay.

McDonald's because of the Big Mac Sauce, though it would have been more of a shoon in if they had not got rid of their Sweet Chili sauce, god it was amazing.

Close Seconds- Zaxbys, which has killer Zax sauce and Chick-fi-la with Polynesian sauce

McDonald's Hot Picante sauce you get for the breakfast burritos is actually quite good. It isn't even really hot at all.

Bogangles honey mustard is pretty dope. 99% of bbq sauce that comes from a bottle tastes like shit. Too much corn syrup or whatever sweet ass shit they put in it. I will never go back to bottled BBQ after figuring out its really easy to make it yourself.

Canadian here: I have only seen 7 of those chains. Holy shit Fast Food is popular in the states.

Edit: Also, the one and only correct answer is Arby's.

Chick fil a and Zaxby's both have great sauces. I also like to smother my Chipotle in Tobasco. Arbys horsey sauce goes great with curley fries and roast beef sandwiches.

Chick Fil A is a southern based fast food chain that claims to have invented the chicken sandwich, and the best fast food chicken sandwich at that. Its grown out to different areas across the country and also serves chicken nuggets (breaded or grilled), strips, salads, waffle fries, and chicken biscuit sandwiches for breakfast among other items. Compared to a place like KFC, CFA's chicken is better by a landslide.

McD's might merit consideration if they hadn't got rid of their sweet chili sauce. As it is though, it's tipped in the favor of Chick Fil A. All their food is something you either dip in sauce or put sauce on. They have a big variety of sauces and they're all good.

Man...not only have I heard of all these places, I've eaten at all of them except White Castle. You people need to step up your fast food game. Or maybe I have a problem. That said, Popeyes has some great sauces...Mardi Gras Mustard and the Sweet Heat chili sauce are both great.

When I used to go to Arby's, I liked the horsey sauce. Jack in the Box at least used to put a real similar product on their breakfast croissant sandwiches. I really got to appreciate horseradish sauce as a result, though I like hot.

Just to mention it, I now go to a very good Greek take-out for say Gyros on Pita, and there is an excellent sauce that goes with it. But I do not know the name, and they are certainly not a chain. Healthiest thing I get on a casual basis.

@bybeach: If it comes with/on gyro then it's most likely tzatziki sauce which is a yogurt/cucumber/garlic sauce. Some places also have skordalia which is a garlic paste, but tzatziki is most likely.

A Popeye's Chicken Strip combo with packets of Louisiana Hot Sauce and a couple cups of their ranch dressing is my favorite food and probably what I would request as a last meal if I had to choose.

Red beans and rice on the side..

@mast: Oh wow. I haven't thought of (or eaten at) Taco John's since I was a little kid. I'm feeling weird nostalgia for that place now and their potato olés...

@personandstuff:I do like Papa John's garlic butter sauce, but it's really just garlic flavored butter.

@mocbucket62: Chick-fil-A definitely has my most favorite condiments, but I don't honesty know if I've ever tried the Chick-fil-A sauce?!? In any case, I love their mayonnaise and the honey roasted BBQ sauce is to die for!

I also like Arby's spicy 3 pepper and horsey sauce, but I'm not really a fan of their BBQ.

Portillos has some delicious cheese sauce, chili, and sweet/hot peppers. About 20 years ago, Portillo's had a sub-restaurant called Barney's that had ribs and fried chicken. Their BBQ sauce was awesome.

If we are talking fast food I got to go with Popeye's. Their BBQ sauce is delicious! They also used to have a sauce called "delta sauce" that was really good, I haven't been in a while though and heard they discontinued it which is a shame, it was great lol
