Its a simple question which one would you like to own?
please feel free to add to the thread by adding images of guitars you would like to own, anything go's Basses,8String's,12String's just tell me.Pretty much the only guitar i want is a 1950's telecaster, anyone into guitars may know however this is somewhat of an extravagant request as the going rate for an original 1950's telecaster is £20'000+ which roughly equates to around $37'000 however pretty much any licensed Fender guitar from that era is
guaranteed TOP quality.

Jimmy Page's three pickup Les Paul.

Sexy

Or a replica, I suppose.  It's elegant (although chrome hardware and cream inlays>gold) , I love the Les Paul's sound and the three pickups and trem would give me a lot of different sounds.  I can dream.

@Bucketdeth: ummm... well for one thing I don't really like slipknot but I really like Mick Thompson being that  he is a very good guitarist and that he is very smart, gives guitar lessons to people back in Des Moines, and can kick someone's ass with ease. But besides that, I bought the guitar in the first place because it sounded very nice, it wasn't expensive at all and it looked nice too. Not because some band member uses it, but that was pretty coincidental when I found that picture....
And i happen to own 4 other guitars.

Japan-made Fenders are the best and rarest of probably any guitar manufacturer.

But beyond that I'd go with an SG @xyzygy: :D

Anyone know if it's possible to find an Umjammer Lammy guitar like Jeff's?

Having owned a Dimebag signature model, I'd have to say I'd prefer something different. Even though they're not necessarily guitars, Chapman Sticks (or the similar Megatars) look pretty fucking interesting. They can be strung like two guitars, two basses, or one of each; with separate audio outs. I'd like to see them used more alongside a standard pick guitar/bass combo in metal since there's a lot of finger tapping in the genre.

The only videos I've been able to find of this setup in metal are a couple from a Christ Puncher show with poor audio fidelity. So here's Stairway to Heaven instead.

The Minarik NiteCrawler. Cladio Sanchez from Coheed & Cambria uses a Minarik; they sound amazing while being completely abstract.

In my opinion, a better guitar than the telecaster. Just as (if not more) twangy, makes a great shoegaze-ish sound with filters, pretty much anything that's not metal or hard rock this guitar does extremely well.

Also: Kurt Cobain was a jerk and modded his like crazy, he doesn't count.

I don't know jack about guitars but if I could have any one I guess I'd pick a 1961 Gibson EB 0 just cause that's the ultimate guitar from FLCL.

@LeadNinja: Exactly... The pickups are "under the hood" so to speak. It's a special system that reduces the hum to zero. That guitar also has a suite of very nice built in effects and if I remember right, midi control.

That is one sweet lookin guitar :).

To the question at hand, none of those two really interest me. I'm not a very good guitar player but a friend of mine has this ESP (similar to the white one posted earlier in the thread) which is an absolute joy to play on. It feels great and plays great so I wouldn't mind one of those.

Looking at getting an Epiphone Joe Pass second-hand for around £269.99

When I played it in the shop the fretboard felt a bit sticky, but cleaning it will solve that right?

You should go around to a few guitar shops and just play a few, see what feels best for you.

I'd do that if I had in mind to buy a new one. But I haven't got the money for it so I would only torture myself if I did it now.
