Which system should I use for my forum RPG?

Which ranking system should I use for my forum RPG?

System 1
This system would have each level 200 posts apart, without increasing the gap between post levels. I could add a lot more than 12 levels then. (0 -> 200 -> 400 -> 600 -> 800 -> 1000 -> 1200 -> 1400 -> etc.)

System 2
This system would have relatively small gaps in between the levels, with the gap gradually increasing by 100 each new level. (0 -> 100 -> 300 -> 600 -> 1000 -> 1500 -> 2100 -> 2800 -> etc.)

System 3
This system would have each level being harder and harder to obtain, with extreme gaps in between the levels. I could only have 12 levels using this system. (0 -> 200 -> 500 -> 1000 -> 2000 -> 3500 -> 4500 -> 7000 -> etc.)

System 2 would probably work best. Also, shouldn't you just use quest levels, to make things easier?
