Which will stay relevant longer- 3D or Facebook?

Facebook for sure unless all this legal stuff catches up with Zuckerberg.

I really don't see what's so great about 3D, I'd rather have HD 2D.

I think this current trend of 3d will die out.  It'll probably come back somehow though.  Facebook is here to stay for a while now.  They have their claws in everything.  I don't really see the need for another social network though.  I don't want to make anymore friend lists.

The current 3D trend will fade, but it seems preposterous to believe that it will never be done right. Once the technology is refined and made accessible I can't imagine it ever going away. That would be like calling color in video a fad. It might take decades, but think of this: in a thousand years, do you think people are more likely to have 3D television or Facebook? 
 
If you're specifically asking about the current surge in 3D, then I give them even odds. But then, as a practitioner of parkour who uses his stereoscopic vision regularly in the real world, I can see the advantages that well executed 3D would have for gaming.

3D gives me headaches. But as much as I hate to say it, I voted Facebook. Ugh. Can't stand it yet I still log in 3 or 4 times a week to "see what everyone is doing."

I picked Facebook in the hopes 3D will go away.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I will say that I actually find Facebook useful, I don't mess with any of the Facebook games and apps, and I have enjoyed the 3D movies that I have seen (Avatar, Up, and Coraline). Post-converted 3D is worthless and should die in a fire.

I think Facebook is actually gonna be around for quite some time. Maybe one of these days I should sign up...

They both need to die. Gimmicky bullshits. But which one will die faster, it's 3D.

3D will be gone once it gets widespread in all forms of media and people finally realize that it's only cool every once in a while and you get sick of the uncomfortable glasses very fast.  Really, the 3DS seems like the only 3D-related thing with real staying power.

With Google launching a social networking site I'll hope 3D will be more relevant.

FaceBook as it actually a useful tool, 3D seems to be the latest 'gimmick' and will be done in a couple of years.

Facebook will probably go like the Wii. Fun and new for a while, then quickly dwindle to a halt.

Doesn't 3D already have a pretty huge head start on facebook,I mean the first 3D movies were in the 50's.

Sadly, I'm siding on 3D because social networks are only as popular as what your friends are using.  MySpace used to be king of the hill and Friendster before that.  Facebook will be replaced by something else soon enough.  Perhaps some sort of Twitter/Google hybrid or, more likely, something we haven't even considered yet.  3D on the other hand is a technology that the film industry has already sunk too much money into to pull back now.  Plus, the added charge of a 3D movie makes even mediocre movies profitable.  That's money they aren't going to want to give up anytime soon.  So, I expect all animated movies and a good majority of the effect-driven films to continue to have a 3D option for a good long time to come. 

What's with the hate for facebook? Something must be very wrong considering it irritates individuals who are not even using it...
 
Keeping track of events and birthdays has never been easier :P

3D will only work if it's done properly, like HD or color TV's.
 
Facebook is still up in the air, we don't know if it will stay popular like Youtube, or fade away and replaced like Myspace.

Facebook easily.  3D is still viewed as a luxury at best, played out gimmick at worst.   Facebook  will last longer unless someone makes a social networking site that just destroys Facebook instantly.
