I still have to figure out why ComicVine does a lot of coverage of movies that arent Comic books. It was them that had the video on there impressions of the newest Star Trek move, and while I enjoyed it I didnt understand its place.

Yeah it's same format as Giant Bomb, Comic Vine, and Anime Vice...only it's about energy drinks. I was pushing for a site dedicated to cheese but they don't really care what I think. ;(

They've got a Whiskey Media website, why not have a podcast section there and link to them from the blog, oh well. It's a good job there's only been two of them, thanks.
@Pazy: i remember gman saying on a podcast that the movie section is there for comic book movies, movies that have had tie in comics etc and movies that have characters in them that then appear in a comic book. considering there are a ton of star trek comics it kinda explains why they where reviewing it

Fuck they just review movies that nerds would enjoy. How's that?
I think it's a good idea as long as it is separate from GB. I like to see what other GB members think of movies and knowing that the same group (probably) of GB players are chatting it up about movies on a sister site would be cool. I like the "Rate the Last Movie You Saw" thread, but it's completely unorganized (of course) so something like that but with easy navigation would be fun. I know Rotten Tomatoes has a lot of that, but I'm not involved with that site and as I said, I know the GB community so I'm more interested in hearing their view points.
Pretty sure there's a loosely kept secret about this. Or that might have been a TV show website. Or who knows really; in all likelihood I made the whole thing up.

nah fuck that. this website is WAYYYYY better designed.
Also, theres only a few sites that are pretty cool for people like us who are like fanboys for these kinds of things. There is already Comingsoon.net, Joblo.com (my personal favorite movie site), LatinoReview, and IMDB.com. plus a few others. None of those sites are nearly as user-friendly as whiskey media sites are.
But damn if you can get a group of guys will (ME ME ME hahaha ) we could create one kick ass movie web site with a datebase that could put IMDB to shame. if this was taken seriously, you would see thousands of IMDB users gladly making in-depth pages on here instead.
I hate the cluttered and old ass design of IMDB.com The fucking forums blow too.
@TwoOneFive: I agree, IMBD gets on my nerves sometimes with it's layout, I would love a WM site that focused on movies mainly because when I watch a movie I feel like I should speak my thoughts on them even when no one gives a hoot. So yeah do a movie site...
@Ginger_Avenger: completely agree, IMDB has a very bland and crappy layout. When looking up obscure movies or actors its so hard to get any information. Also when i look to see what other movies actors are in and its something i have seen, sometimes I cant picture them in the film by just the name of who they played especially if it was a small part. I would love some user input where someone could put in something like "they were in the scene where so and so was walking through the bar" just so i could remember where exactly i saw them. plus features like franchises and things like that would be great. Especially character bios bcuz IMDB's character bios suck hard...

yeah, its a very unintuitive website. the entire design is highly outdated and nothing about it is user friendly. WM sites on the other hand....its all about the user experience. completely. and dude, Ryan has already proven he makes a great movie reviewer. just for fun Ryan should review new releases that don't even have to be tang.
on giant bomb every little thing could be categorized and searched for so perfectly. and the forums would blow away anything on any other movie site (the forums on sites like joblo.com, comingsoon.net, and especially IMDB are crap and outdated).
