Who else thinks the Dark Knight is overrated?

Dont get me wrong, I thought it was a really good movie, but I didnt think it was that great overall. I thought the whole two face thing wasnt done very well, to me anyway it seemed kinda contrived and shallow how quickly the two face  change happened. Also the girl who plays rachel was pretty medicre at best, she was better than Katie Holmes by far but theres something about her face I dont like. Maggie Ghelenhal isnt ugly, but her face looks weirdly pig like, I wanted to see her punched in the face.

I have to agree, two face was just annoying and the movie dragged on way too long.

Personally, I thought much of the acting in the beginning of the movie was very poor, and that the plot had many holes and inconsistencies. I enjoyed the film, but I agree, it is quite overrated. I really didn't like it as much as Batman Begins.

Definitely not worth thousands of fanboys running around screaming TEH B3ST Movi3 3V4R!!!!!!11111`!11111shift!!!!! and slapping Joker Avatars on their websites. It was a good movie though

I loved it, I don't think that it was overrated at all.

It was good.  It wasn't second-coming-of-christ-good like people are making it out to be.  I liked Iron Man better *runs*

Also I didnt like how they faked Gordan's death, it seemed like a total cop out way to bring him back. Also showing Scarecrow at the start just to show a random cameo annoyed me bit, the guy who lays Scarecrow is one of the best actors around and to see him reduced to a cheap cameo role was sad in a way.

I'd give it like 9/10, but the way people are acting as if it's the best film ever is ridiculous. There's plenty of flaws with this movie, like with plenty of others, but no one seems to give that any thought.

I think it's more about all the idiots running around thinking it's god's gift to cinema. It's a great movie and far better then most crap that comes out, but is nowhere near the best."

Yes. The story was hard to figure out, the chronology / plot needs a lot of fixing. The music was somewhat repetitive - particularly that siren sound that came up every time something was about to happen. The scenes themselves were directed and acted out excellent - that was what made the movie great.

The Dark Knight is probably one of the best movies ever. It isn't at all overrated

It's a great film, but certainly not the best out there. I'd rank it at a similar level to Zodiac.

It was an average movie, I thought batman was too short, his voice sucked and that costume was the worse batman costume ever!, the movie was way overrated in my opinion.

Do some of you really think the Dark Knight is one of the best movies ever? I know its just your opinion, but I am curious as to why you think it is. I thought it was a very enjoyable hollywood blockbuster with some amazing action and acting wrapped up in a semi intelligent plot. I wouldnt even call if the best film of the year. But thats just my opinion.

Not overrated one bit.  Great movie, great director, great acting, great cinematography, great script, great everything.

  I've been pretty disappointed with this summer's flims. The Mummy was half-decent, Hancock was uninspired, and Indiana Jones destroyed the franchise. Iron Man was cool, though. I've seen alot of other, non-action/superhero films this year, but I'm a little brain-fried at the moment. Can't remember them.

I think it was rated perfectly, and I judge comic based movies pretty harshly.

As far as 2008 is concerned 'There Will Be Blood' is my favourite.

I think it deserves that spot. The Dark Knight's brilliance went beyond Ledger. Everything about it was absolutely spectacular."

The movie was a mess, batman was barely in it, when he was he wore that dreadful bat suit and hang around the a police station (what's dark and scary about that?) . I think Nolan went to far with doing what he wants.

It's not the next Godfather, obviously. But it's still very good. Not overrated.
