I was just reading an interview that Sam Raimi is trying to figure out which villian he wants to use in the next Spider Man film. He said that he has looked back at Spider Man three and has noticed the mistakes he as made and the complaints from the fans. He wants to go back to the basics, meaning that the film is gonna have the excellent directing that you saw in the first and second films. Anyway, on figuring out which villain he wants to use, he says he wants this villain to test not just Spider Man's limits but Peter Parker's aswell. Which villian do you guys think will match Sam Raims ideas?
I'm sure Lizard will be in there and I would like to see Scorpion aswell. I wish he'd been able to make the movie he wanted to with Spiderman 3 though, instead of being forced to get Venom in there.
The Lizard would fit that role, but dammit if he doesn't use Rhino as some opening villain fight or just some other obstacle I will be furious! I just like Rhino is all.
Maybe I'm just a cynic, a huge Sam Raimi fan and also a person who thinks Spider-Man 3 is the best of the trilogy, I like how Sam is saying he knows he made mistakes etc. when he was forced to include Venom even though he never liked the character and never had any interest in putting him in the film till pressured by the studios.
The plot should involve Spider-Man traveling back in time to the events of Spider-Man 3 and beating the shit out of himself for acting like an emo douchebag. :P
I'm thinking that it's gonna be The Lizard since the Curt Connors kept the little black thingy that made Peter into Venom. So I'm thinking that he might do some experiments with it and then turn into the Lizard.
I'd love to see anyone of these though: Carnage, The Lizard, Mysterio, Shocker.
I think Mysterio would be a very interesting villain.
The Lizard would be pretty awesome, and that would test peter himself if thats what hes going for. Carnage would be a wish of mine to, but one villain is enough i guess

I could see a Black Cat & Scorpion or Black Cat & Mysterio storyline in the same way that I enjoyed Catwoman and the Penguin in Batman Returns. It's possible to have more than one "villain" if the one of the villains isn't really evil. But, if there was just one villain, my vote is for the Kingpin, too. The franchise needs to dial it down a step after the embarrassment that was Spidey 3.
