Anyone using the new windows 7 RC 1? I currently am on my laptop but its pretty shitty with integrated intel graphics. So, tell me fellow bombardiers, how is it on decent rigs? I currently love it cos shutting down and booting up is so smooth.

Meh. Better than Vista. Still not as good as XP.  Runs okay on my 2008 model Emachines. (jealous aren't you??)

Running 64-bit WIndows 7 RC 1 on my laptop. Thing runs fantasically, so much so that I could bear going back to Vista. For games, most will run just fine, I have had some issues with some newer games tho, but thats becuase of graphics card drivers.

My setup is fairly basic - no crazy stuff:

Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 at 2.40 GHz;
4,00 GB RAM (3,86 GB usable);
Intel's Integrated BULLSHIT graphics;
64-bit Operating System;
Windows 7 Ultimate.

This coupled with a small 22' monitor, sure I do OK..

Everything is running great!

The OS is actually better than Vista - believe me I was a fan of Vista but now when I boot up in Vista I really can't imagine how
it would be without Windows 7.

Yeah, I do like Mac's, just can't afford 'em.
Plus for games, you need a Windows PC.

I have the file on my desktop. Got to get around to backing up my Win 7 Beta partition so I can install the RC1.

Really liked win 7....Very stable.

Will be using it soon.
