Would you rather be attacked by a horse sized duck or a dozen duck sized horses? (as heard on Tested PAXcast)
A duck the size of a horse would be a nigh unstoppable killing machine. I'll take out the mini-horses.
Pretty much.Horse-sized ducks are terrifying. Duck-sized horses are hilarious.
1. Horses are fuckin' strong, and have hooves.
2. Horses are smarter than ducks. I don't have a source to confirm this but it seems very likely.
3. A duck-size horse could get in through small spaces, making it harder to take shelter.
The answer seems obvious.
The duck would have a bill that could perform acts akin to a Mortal Kombat fatality.
I can kick a duck-sized horse and send it flying, which would be worth it in of itself.
Well, if you manage to defeat said horse-sized-duck, you could attempt to tame said horse-sized-duck for transportation uses.
Imagine flying on the back of a duck.
Ducks are kind of assholes. At least geese are, so close enough. Going with the dozen tiny horses.
Edit: Is the Tested PAX panel on their site because I don't see it?

Yes, just not as a video. Look on the podcast page.
I suspect a horse-sized duck would not even be able to move, do to that frame not being able to to support that much body mass. Certainly would not be able to fly, and ducks are not too speedy at their current size.
