Your Best Album of 2009?
" I've never heard of half the things here.. "

Probably because the mainstream forced us to seek out relatively unknown artists. In the old days, it was enough to drop a name (say, Nirvana) and you just had to get the hot new record. Today, it's the other way around: You hear something you like (online radio for instance) and then you look who it's from and go on from there. The problem is that the mainstream labels still think that they can grow stars in a petri dish, even though they constantly fail and all they give us are derivative one-hit wonders. They are also completely oblivious to the fact that live concerts are where the real money is these days. Selling records just doesn't pay anymore (the artists, that is. The labels are as rich as ever).
I ♥ independent music

" @armaan8014 said:Yeah.. i do that a lot too.. But i've still not heard of many of these bands, probably because i don't live in the US or in Europe, so the radios here don't play their songs very often" I've never heard of half the things here.. "

@jonnyboy:
Agreed. I saw them play at ABC Glasgow a few months ago. I'm guessing they did it for the whole tour, but they played the album in order. It was fucking incredible.After that I'd say Alice In Chains new album is pretty spot on.
Edit:
@SJSchmidt93: this
" @Bruce said:you mean The Resistance, Bruce..." Uprising is garbage, so therefore, you are deaf thread creator. "Hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion man. "
" @CornontheCobbe said:Nope! Haha, came out April 7th 2009. 3 days before my birthday : )"Though that came out last year? Anyhow still a great choice
Jadakiss - The Last Kiss. "
But for the sake of originality

Ah yeah Eminems album was pretty sweet too man, but i wasn't feeling it as much as the Eminem show in 2002 ; )
But needless to say, it was a quite impressive come-back after all those years! Looking forward to Relapse 2 in 2010.

Other than this album and maybe 1 or 2 others there wasn't much to offer this year for the bands I listen to.

People have been loving it (especially Chris Dick). Not the best thing from them I believe but it's solid.
Heh-heh!"
"
Looking at him I reckon the only requests this guy ever gets is "Please, mister... Don't chain me up in this basement!!"
As for my favourite album of the year... I'll have to pick two:
Don't worry if other people don't like the albums, listen to what you enjoy. Also, 21st Century Breakdown was a pretty good album, just not my type of music.
Great late night cd and her live show is mind blowing...ck out some live clips on you tube if you get a chance.
