I wonder if the record companies have collated data of comments asking "what is that song" against iTunes sales? I realise this data could never be definitively collaborated. But it's a thought...
YouTube is dead...
I don't think you guys realize that even music that YOU HAVE PURCHASED is not being allowed to be posted on the site. This is the Guilty until proven innocent formula that is the telltale sign of terrible policy.
"BigBoss1911 said:last.fm kicks ass."Shadow said:Why not try something better?""dude whatever. People are uploading stuff far too fast and too often for all of it to be deleted. Even so, who goes to youtube as a music source?"I do for most of my music actually."
"Shadow said:No it's very much the point. A change in policy effecting a small percentage of videos on the site does not equal "OMG YUTUB IS DED!""dude whatever. People are uploading stuff far too fast and too often for all of it to be deleted. Even so, who goes to youtube as a music source?"Thats really not the point.
And that is pretty lame of them, only making it worse for themselves."

Promotion does not count, because if a full song can be listened to for free, why would you buy it?
So why have artists starting putting full albums on Myspace? I guess there might be some ad money, but you can still listen to whole albums.
