Are you going to name your character Larry Bird Jr·? If not, what are you going to name him?
Bonus question: Did you name your P4 character Charlie Tunoku?

Larry Bird Jr. really was an inspired choice. I can't go that route because I am that person that needs to have a 'canon' name or as close to it as possible, so I'm naming him Akira Kurusu after his name in the manga adaptation. I named P4 protagonist Soji Seta and then Yu Narukami on subsequent playthroughs. Because I'm boring.
I plan to name my guy "Chris Surfboard". I have no idea how I came up with this, but it just seems good to me.
I usually like to name my characters their canon name. Is Larry Bird Jr his canon name? I haven't been following much of this game because I want to go in as cold as possible.
If I remember right, the canon names of the P3 and P4 protagonists weren't officially set until some time after their respective games were actually released. (Only when the official manga adaptions came out, I think?)
That said, yes, Larry Bird Jr. is most definitely the official Atlus-canon name for him.
I named my P4 character Jason Kidd so naming my P5 character Jason Kidd Jr. would make some sense.
Bort.
My son's name is also Bort
I think I'll be going with my old Persona 4 standby: Miles Davis
What about Sammy Davis Jr Jr?
@metalsnakezero: Arsene Lupin jr. is pretty good... So many good options listed in this thread so far!
@redhotchilimist: That's the best name. I don't know if they actually said that in the quicklook or you just imagined it but I think you just won at names.
I prefer to name my Persona protagonists after Star Wars actors and then give them the same surname of Hara (an actual Japanese name, don't know what it means, but being called Hara-San sounded good to me)
Persona 3: Mark Hara
Persona 4: Alec Hara
And Persona 5: Harrison Hara!
It means "meadow" or "field", and is spelled 原! :)
I named my Persona 3 protagonist Kirk Thornton, after the voice actor. Mostly just a whimsical joke, but I tried to justify it as the character being a foreigner living in Japan. Nothing in the story really conflicted with that notion, so yay!
For Persona 4 I decided to follow the rules a bit more and come up with a technically-Japanese name, and went with Kisuke Kisaragi. Kisaragi being the traditional word for February, and Kisuke being a super outdated name that has weird connotations with red-light districts. Thought the name sounded dumb enough to work.
Haven't thought about it for Persona 5 yet. Should probably go with another 'K' sound since I seem to have inadvertently done so twice already...
I'm gonna name him Akira Kurusu. According to the Persona 5 manga (there is one, apparently), that's his official name.

Thanks! They probably said "April 9th", but I haven't been back to check.

Thanks a lot man!
I did go with Charlie in P4. This time I thought about it and I like English names mixed with Japanese names. like how Vinny did it with charlie Tunaku. The first name I came up with when I saw the main character was Travis and I looked at a Japanese name generator and got Tominaga. My names Thomas so having the first syllables of the last name rhyme with my name was a bonus for me. Thus Travis Tominaga is born.
I'll probably go with Jordan V. Bird. Better game than Larry Bird Jr. even though I liked the turnabout of Larry Bird being in the cage at the top of the screen in LBJr. The first game, Larry Bird, is the all-time classic, but I've never quite managed a kill screen.
DK, DK Jr., Mario vs. DK
I've named every Persona character I've played Li Shenshun, in honor of the MC's alias from Darker Than Black. I just like the sound of it, got good word feel.
If I ever played a girl - never played P3P - she'd be named Misaki Kirihara, same reason.
@matsemann08: Never named my dude after Charlie. Might do that or Larry or Akira (the manga name) in a second playthrough.
Thinking of naming him Ryu Hayabusa for my first run of P5.
